This is what people did in February/2019 to keep moving RA forward.
- Released software (credits to Jamiras, Euclide and SyrianBallaS):
-- RALibretro 1.0.14
-- RAQUASI88 1.1 (first official release, currently on 1.1.3)
-- RAIntegration 0.75
-- RetroArch 1.7.6 released (credits to the libretro team)
-- blueMSX core fix to correctly support cheevos for ColecoVision. By Celeryyy.
-- Leaderboards cancelled on game reset. Fix by meleu and Jamiras, issue isolated by kdecks.
-- Revamped "Badge and Icon Creation". By kdecks. https://docs.retroachievements.org/Badge-and-Icon-Creation
-- Revamped "Tips and Tricks" and added a trick to find address for demo mode. By meleu. https://docs.retroachievements.org/Tips-and-Tricks
-- Revamped the "Reading data in the Memory Viewer" part of the "Memory Inspector Overview" doc. Trying to add clearer basic explanations about bits, hex notation, Little endianness, etc. By meleu with some contributions by kdecks. https://github.com/RetroAchievements/docs/wiki/Memory-Inspector-Overview#reading-data-in-the-memory-viewer
-- Added a real example about how to "Circumvent the Problem of a Counter Incrementing Twice in the Same Frame". Thoreau and Jamiras. https://docs.retroachievements.org/Circumvent-the-Problem-of-a-Counter-Incrementing-Twice-in-the-Same-Frame/
-- Created the "About Us" page. By meleu and Scott. https://docs.retroachievements.org/About-Us/
-- Updated the "Developer's Code of Conduct", putting clear rules about reserving a game, reinforcing the need to post the plans before uploading any work, defining what is an "inactive developer", and stating that you're free to fix tickets assigned to other developers only if they are inactive. By kdecks and meleu with contributions from the discussion with the staff members. http://docs.retroachievements.org/Developers-Code-of-Conduct/
- RA Game Database:
-- Created a standardized method to account for missables, especially in RPGs. The top post of all RPGs will record whether there are missables, and in some cases missable achievements will be flagged by [m]. See: https://goo.gl/mDLXq9 for the forum topic and: https://goo.gl/CrTMYx for the collaborative spreadsheet. While this is "finished" it is an ongoing project dependent on ongoing contributions from the community. By kdecks, after much feedback from the community and staff.
- Scott reassured that there will be no adverts, no paywall, no monetisation, no profiting, no buying or selling of anything of any kind. RetroAchievements.org will never be monetised. Ever. https://retroachievements.org/viewtopic.php?t=8459
WORK IN PROGRESS
- A "VGM Contest" is about to start, it'll be hosted by Rimsala. See: http://retroachievements.org/viewtopic.php?t=8464
- RAppleWin (not sure if the name will remain be RAppleWin), an Apple II emulator with RetroAchievements support. By Euclide.
- RAOricutron, an Oric computers emulator with RetroAchievements support. By Euclide.
-- add blueMSX core for ColecoVision support. By meleu.
-- fixed Master System and Game Gear games being incorrectly linked as Mega Drive games. By meleu and leiradel.
-- support for zipped ROMs (for some cores). By Jamiras.
- RAIntegration, several improvements being worked for the next release (0.76). By Jamiras, Euclide and SyrianBallaS.
- RA Game Database:
-- Game hubs (name pending) are a new method to organize the game database over various category types using unused game entries. You can see the work-in-progress list here: https://goo.gl/9ftbKE . Maintained and run televandalist with secondary credit to kdecks, it's open to help from anyone.
