Watch the demo and hit start when its about to make 4 lines (Tetris). If done correctly, when you then play a game the screen will flash & you'll have 4 lines cleared.
Anyone achieve the 'Secret' achievement using Retroarch? I got the flashing screen and everything but nothing popped up. All other achievements for this game have worked fine.
Still haven't managed to unlock the 'Shhh!' achievement. Tried on retroarch and RANes now. Can anyone who has unlocked it post a detailed breakdown of what I'm supposed to do? Follower SamuraiGoroh's post and no luck.
What to do about questionable scores. There is a small handful of players who are well known in the gaming community and have either streamed live on TwitchTV, or have posted their videos on YouTube of them getting a perfect score of 999,999. Yet the top 10 leaderboard here, has nothing but perfect scores from players I've never seen stream on Twitch or post a video of their accomplishment on YouTube (to the best of my knowledge). The top ranked player for # of total lines is definitely incorrect and cannot be done without using some sort of enhancement device like a GameGenie. Over 10,000 lines is just not humanly possible on the NES version. So why is this score occupying the top spot on the leaderboard for total lines? Just my $.02.
That would be interesting. There are 660 players (35%) as of today, who have completed at least 5 lines without turning a piece. It'll come down to whatever the highest level is that a player is able to start on. The higher the starting level, the higher the score. Had I started on a much higher level myself, after completing the 5-lines that I did, my score would have been much higher than what it was.
