Set contains Grouped Class Events for Progress / Win Condition, as well as individual achievements for each Event's Gold Trophy collection. Afterwards I've added in some best-times to challenge for Time Attack, and a few achievements for perfect-scores in Championship.
However, I did modify the three achievements for "Dri-Combo" mode; since I'm working on the GBA prequel-game, its unlocks showed me that cars can be earned by getting various scores on Dri-Combo --- for this game, 10 gives you a car on the first track, 15 for the second track, and 20 for the final third track. Previously I just had "get better than the default 9 score" for each track, which would have been fine for the first track, but not enough for the others.
It's unfortunate, but being both JP-only for GCN and mildly obscure for the NA-release on the Wii, there isn't a lot of information about this game really. I did check to make sure you can't earn cars for other modes, but I don't believe you can.... but I'm not sure if there are any other unlockables since I don't know about them. But at the very least Dri-Combo was improved for its unlockables.

If you want to enable "analog-trigger gas/brake" go to options and change to control-scheme "B". Although some sources claim it's still digital, I can see at least 4 stages of pressure-sensitivity in RPMs.
The Time Trial goals that I have gotten for myself were with fully-upgraded end-game cars. I use Manual-Shift + Drift-Style options, and make frequent use of "chain drifting" to purposely-oversteer in order to line up for a lot of upcoming turns.
I'm not sure about Race-setup compared with Drift, and I haven't used the hand-brake at all, but there are two main types of Drift - passive and active/brake.
The first is invoked by nearing a corner, letting go of acceleration, turning, then hitting acceleration as you turn.
The second is invoked by the same, but between letting-go and going back to acceleration, you tap 'brake' very short, but long enough to make the drift happen.
You'll know which drift you're in based on the sound the tire-squealing makes... if it's soft then it's passive-drifting, if it's VERY high-pitch and fairly loud then it's brake-drifting. Brake-drifting is VERY sharp and causes a ton of oversteering, so it's best to purposely point AWAY from the curve, then when your car oversteers it will correct its angle. Or if you're going to chain-drift into multiple turns, purposely oversteer each brake-drift to point you away from the next curve, that way the next oversteer will line you up for the next curve, then the next, etc etc. You can recover from most drifts by letting go of accel, steering away from the drift, and then accelerating again once your tires have resumed grip on the road.
