I suppose that this achievement Heat Resistant Tunic Heat Resistant Tunic (5) should be remarked as MISSABLE ([m]). Since this other achievement Hot Hot Hot [m] Hot Hot Hot (10) [m] requires the player to fight Volvagia without usage of Goron Tunic, this is another reason why I am writting this due to a possible interference between those achievements.

This was a personal experience. This fact might be TRUE or FALSE. I will write down how I reproduced this. So, anyone can try it and see if it happens too!

1. The case:

That Baby Goron in Goron City will open the door to Goron Shop and Darunia's Room. So, the normal entrance to Death Mountain Crater (and the bridge to meet Sheik) will be opened. This is what the game expects the player to do. Baby Goron will give the Goron Tunic at the end of dialogue. Baby Goron didn't even try to roll again until you save everyone and beat Volvagia.

However, if you ONLY talk to Baby Goron after that event, then, Goron Tunic dialogue will NEVER be triggered. So, those doors of Goron Shop and Darunia's Room will never be opened. Megaton Hammer would make things easier between the primary passage and secondary passage of the Crater, so, accessing FT later won't be a problem via Death Mountain summit.

2. How I achieved this?

2.a. Water Temple first: After beating Forest Temple, learning Prelude of Light and obtaining the Lens of Truth, I used to fight WT first and going to FT later. WT didn't need Megaton Hammer, so, it's a possible thing to do. This was made to take Biggoron Sword on right time. (I didn't know the period of 3 days of sword production). The next step was going to FT via secondary passage with help of Pierre and Longshot. That way you can even skip Bolero of Fire song for that moment (and maybe definitively if you use Longshot on a specific point to get close to Goron City entrance or via Prelude of Light warp).

2.b. Complete Fire Temple entirely: If you can beat Volvagia without that tunic, then, you can also beat that temple without ever using it: It will be only useful on extreme heat areas and it's doesn't affect entirely FT. Having a lot of fairies and hearts (8 seconds per heart) will be useful on doing this! Of course, a lot of people would simply take that tunic off on boss arena, but what if a player decides to simply go through entire Fire Temple without ever picking it?

2.c. Go to Goron City and try to speak with Baby Goron for first time: Talking with him at this point will give the dialogue where he thanks you for saving everyone and greeting for coming back. He will ever know your name like you had a conversation with him before - which you didn't. If you are expecting for Goron Tunic dialogue at this point, then, you are fucked.

In summary, defeating Volvagia without ever taking a Goron Tunic may softlock the game regarding this item! This allegation might be FALSE since it's not well mentioned anywhere. However, I will try to reproduce it again when I play this set someday and, probably, make a video regarding it (if possible) reproducing from steps 2.a to 2.c listed above. Last time I made it was in 2002 on original hardware, on a savefile named "Logan" with around 302 game overs registered.

I used to take Iron Boots from Ice Cavern on wrong order (before getting requested by Navi on Water Temple quest) and learn Serenade of Water in past. However, that didn't break the game. I used to do that at the time due to Adult Item Adventure (Pocket Cucco -> Claim Check -> Biggoron Sword) that I did before going to main objective - which was to beat Forest Temple after obtaining Hookshot. Also, used to see the rain taking place in Kakariko Village exactly after Volvagia's defeat due to Morpha being already defeated before.

All of this happened in V1.0 of the game at the time. Dunno if this was fixed in V1.1 or on censored V1.2 version, but I find this dubious because this, probably, wasn't on Nintendo's "known bugs" for this game. V1.1 fixed some things, but, probably not this issue. Master Quest edition was (a N64 Rom, in natura) planned to release on GameCube in 2003 and it might be fixed there though...

NO glitch was ever used because I didn't know any of them (and still don't know nowadays).

3. Theory or a possible explanation by game's logic?
Spoiler (Click to show)
3.a. Volvagia situation:

- Defeated: Modify BG dialogue because the player got Goron Tunic, Bolero of Fire was learned, everyone was saved and Fire Medallion was obtained.
- Alive: Reproduce BG dialogue X over and over and give Goron Tunic at end of dialogue.

3.b. Baby Goron conversation:

- Triggered before Volvagia defeat: Open Goron Shop and Darunia's Room doors. Give Goron Tunic at the end of dialogue because things will get hotter ahead. The player needs to learn Bolero of Fire and defeat Volvagia yet. Since the player will want to speak with BG again, then, make him stationary. No rolling until the problem is solved!
- Triggered after Volvagia defeat: Greets the player and congratulate them after saving everyone and defeating Volvagia. There is no need of giving Goron Tunic and neither opening doors anymore. Since is believed that the player wouldn't want to speak to BG anymore. So, let's make him movementable again like before!

3.c. Kakariko Village behavior:

- Visited after defeating Volvagia only: Everything is normal. Ganondorf curse is gone (for now...)
- Visited after defeating Volvagia having defeated Morpha before: What? Why is it raining there? (Then, if you access from main entrance, the Nocturne of Shadow cutscene triggers since the game already knows about Water Medallion on your inventory)

After mastering this game and learning more about it with videos and information online, I personally think we should get more "fun achievements" For those not wanting a revision for the main set then it should be put into a subset.

I am talking about multiple things I've never even known about:
-When you kill birds, skeletons or the creatures in the desert they spawn a bigger one.
-When the Post Mailman has the bunny hat on, he can run you over if you get in his path.
-Many BIG Faries hidden in the world
-If you change your tunic in front of the Gerudo Warrior it will change clothes according to what you changed your tunic too
-Blue Flames can destroy breakable walls
-The hidden secret room behind Dodongo's lava waterfall
-Hidden secret rupee's hidden EVERYWHERE

To be honest that was just a small taste, I am not saying all them should be added as achievements, I am just surprised half of these are not in the main set or sub set.

I still haven't ever been to the "Carpet Merchant" I know it's not that crazy at all but for all the times I have beaten it and mastered the game you would think it will really showcase all what the game has to offer. it's wild I am still learning new things about the game still to this day.

I agree with TrashCity, but these achievements should be add in the main set, what should be moved to a subset are these 3 heart challenges tbh. I mean if the achievements were just "beat the game with 3 hearts" it would be ok, but it's like "beat with 3 hearts + no damage/hit/fairies/heals" lol.

This game works in 20 fps, it's kinda weird to play it already, plus going all the way to the boss and watching the cutscenes again because you died make it even worse, not a cool experience.

I thought the three heart achievements were fine, even with me being rusty at the game with my last playthrough being over a decade ago. You can't really take more than a few hits anyways, so avoiding all damage/healing doesn't really change the fight much. I did feel some redundancy with them though. Defeating Ganon without healing and only one heart remaining and fighting him without getting hit ends up being essentially the same fight, I couldn't afford to get hit during either achievement. Same thing with Bongo Bongo. Going for the normal achievement means you can't use Lens of Truth or get grabbed, but getting grabbed once during my three heart run always resulted in a game over for me, so both achievements end up being almost the same exact fight with the same restrictions.
Adding to what TrashCity said, I did find it weird that there was no achievement for fighting a giant Stalchild in Hyrule Field. It was one of the first things I did, expecting it to be an achievement since it's not something a lot of people are initially aware of. Maybe the coding for such things is too complicated to accurately track.
