I'm relatively new to interacting in these forums, but I'm a very big fan of Sly Cooper and as soon as I heard that PS2 achievements were being implemented this was the first game I thought of that I really wanted to go through and earn a broader and more varied achievement set for. My personal view is that the trophy set for the HD collection version was kind of lacking.

I don't know if achievement suggestions are a generally welcome thing, especially if the person suggesting is unable to contribute to the coding process, but I would like to give some suggestions for some potentially outside of the box achievements (or maybe some that seem pretty obvious but I guess you wouldn't really think about) if that's okay. I already know that you plan on being more extensive with this set by including thief sprint trophies and some "don't get caught" challenges.

I don't know exactly how complex you can get with achievement code, so forgive me if some of these are beyond the scope of possibility.

I'm REALLY excited for your set of Sly Cooper achievements, I really hope the incoming set is as exhaustive as you can make it

Achievement suggestions are VERY welcome actually. And don't worry, I try to cram as much into my sets as possible. Since a lot of these involve glitches I can't let them into the core set. I can however pass them along to my collab partner since they're doing the subset which is where a lot of the cool stuff you're describing is more welcome.

Oh, and glad you're looking forward to the set! I'll do my best!

don't know if this would be good but

achievement for each stage for getting all clue bottles in x time except the last stage because the game force beating the last boss before open the safe.

beating the 2 levels wich you need to protect the pink hippo without miss a single shot.

beating mug shot without letting he turn a single mirror. (last phase from this boss)

collecting every unique item from enemies.

I love these games so much, do you plan to do a set for Sly 2 or Sly 3 at some point? Or are you going to leave that up to someone else?

I'm also very excited for that subset being worked on to, I can't wait to really be tested by this game

Glad to see this is being worked on, I've always enjoyed the ringtail's romps!

To dcmpinguim, for the "All bottles in X time" suggestion, I need to clarify something: the pages are awarded sequentially. That means "the last stage" is whatever one YOU complete last, NOT a specific level. Not that it would prevent the cheev idea from working (tracking the clue bottle totals, not the safe opening). However, they'd all be extremely missable. Also, enemies don't drop "unique items" in this entry, though they DO have bios... actually...

Bios 'Bliterated

To MahoganyVice, I'm impressed at the range of ideas you've come up with (even if many are more Bonus Set ideas), though I should mention that life-grinding is considered an "Unwelcome Concept" for cheevs, barring when the game itself acknowledges it (NSMB Mario not wearing his hat for instance). HOWEVER, gathering X amount of coins in a level without dying is another thing entirely... maybe not a good idea, but at least not a "banned" one.
I also think I've got better names for the "World 100% Clear" cheevs:

Flushed Away

Dog Eat Dog World

Voodoo Vanish

Out of Ammo

I'm a big fan of and am very familiar with Sly Cooper, and the lackluster trophy set that the HD rerelease got makes me just want to see this achievement set cover as much ground as possible. If any of the concepts I've been coming up with are unwelcome concepts then obviously feel free to pull them back a little, the one that calls for lives, coins and charms can be culled down to just requiring a golden lucky charm for example.

It might be challenging but I would love to see this game have over 100 achievements between the different sets, the wide range of achievements would encourage people to explore and experiment and try out new and different ways of playing the game, which is also something I would LOVE to see

And speaking of enemy bios, actually, another suggestion would be separate achievements for seeing each unique enemy bio

That name sounds familiar
View the enemy bio for General Tso

And those achievement name suggestions are WAY better

ShadwSonic Thanks, about the items i had mistaken with sly 2 and yeah all clue bottles within a time would be a big missable but the stages are short and easy.
I think finishing the stages without being seen can also be good.

How do you guys feel about Coin Challenges? Like "collect this amount of coins in this level without getting caught, dying, or taking damage" or something along those lines?

It depends. Sometimes coin collection can be pretty tight on execution like with Mario 64's set, but if it is only a certain section or amount it might be better since it'd balance skill with the amount of down time from re-tries. Also, since Sly Cooper is very much in theme on the idea of stealth and thievery, such challenges would fit that tone imo.

It won't be as tight as Mario 64. These would also be per section and leave slight room for error.

idk bout speed coin gathering because yeah the game does have a focus on thievery but collecting coins fast isn't exactly stealthy lol but could also be a fun challenge

I am all for this, new challenges for this game are always welcome and I feel like this is a challenge that would promote gameplay mastery

I'm all for it! Especially the "not getting caught" style ones

Pretty much anything more than the PS3 trophy list is welcome lol, more than just 100% and complete the game is always welcome
