Ristar eh? :) I never had this one growing up, but it seems like a really colourful, fun quirky platformer. Does it take long to complete? It has an achievement in the Sega MegaDrive Ultimate Collection, to do with collecting yellow stars?

Personally I hated it, plenty more decent 2D platformers on the Mega Drive.

Have to disagree with you there.. this along with Dynamite Headdy are two of my all time favourite platformers on the mega drive! It definitely needs more achievements!

Changed all the points distribution to multiples of 5. Makes people's scores alot more pleaseing to the eye! :p

All those 8s and 14s were driving me nuts!

Added some quick updated cheat protection so you can't cheese the set by playing the JP version.

The following passwords prevent you from getting most cheevos

FEEL (JP only)
CANDY (JP only)
AAAAAA (JP only)
MUSEUM (except boss rush cheevo)

Also changed code on so it only triggers in the levels it's supposed to.

I'm proposing to put made by Blazekickn into the core set and then re-balancing the points. This Super Hard Mode is a built in challenge mode that's perfect for an achievement and the set would be less without it.


It would also be good to see cheeve(s) that make use of the time attack mode (password: DOFEEL), but I'm not taking on that right now.

if you're gonna put the cheevo in i'd like a new icon to be made. I just used the icon and point value for as a placeholder.

Also cheevo is untested so i don't know if it actually works, lol. Idk if super difficulty has any special ending code aside from difficulty but as long as it uses the same values as the Star Lord cheevo it should work.

Basically, only one bit is relevant, and one other bit was actively detrimental. Fun fact: one of those bits determined if you lost a life in the stage. This cheevo unintentionally required a perfect no death run up until the final bonus level was entered. It's been made a little easier now.
