Are there any plans for a variation of Professor Oak's Challenge for Pokemon Blue?

I've added speedrun leaderboards for this game, if you experience any issues DM me and I'll have a look at them.

I'd imagine Pokemon Blue would be the same as this set. Except it would be easier to get Porygon in Blue as it cost less then it does in Red.

Badge VII Badge VII (10)

I would like to revise these achievements so that the badge order doesn't matter, as the pokemon requirement is the same in all 3 and so the order you do them in doesn't affect the challenge. Giovanni will be left alone as you are required to have all 7 badges to fight them anyway.

So I haven't started on these, but will the Professor Oak Challenge Patch mess up the ROM for use with other games? For example, If I use my Pokemon Red Professor Oak Challenge Save to upload my Pokemon to Pokemon Stadium is that possible? Or does the patch make the game incompatible with Stadium? I haven't started either so was hoping someone would know going into it before because I'd rather not do a whole other run of a Gen 1 game I wouldn't normally have to do. Specifically Red or Blue since Missingno doesn't work in Yellow, or at least as available as in Red or Blue.

Crims0nScorpion whether you are using a local patcher or the online patcher https://www.romhacking.net/patch/, it will create a separate file independent of the original rom. and if you are still hesitant you could always make a backup of the rom before patching it. as for how it interacts with stadium, I haven't played it to know.

Hello! I'm having trouble downloading the patch. The mediafire page takes a while to load and then says the following: "The initial connection between Cloudflare's network and the origin web server timed out. As a result, the web page can not be displayed."

I've notice that many players fails the set due to not catching all the Pokémons in Mt Moon and then not been able to return. I can totally understand why; fully evolving your starter and pidgeot is really time consuming, I'll admit that if that had happened to me I've also abandoned the set.

So I'll like to propose a zero points achievement warning the players, something similar to NO RETRIES ALLOWED NO RETRIES ALLOWED or Warning: RetroSpies Don't Cheat Warning: RetroSpies Don't Cheat that triggers maybe when entering route 3, route 4 or when entering Mt Moon.

Since is a warning, I think all caps may be appropriate, but it's just an idea.

For the description, something warning the player of the missable Pokémons like:

Make sure to catch Jigglypuff, Zubat, Geodude, Paras, Clefairy, get your fossil and the moon stone before exiting Mt Moon.

For the badge I was thinking of maybe a sign with exclamation marks or the player jumping with a 🚫.

Here are some pictures of what I think the badge should look. I followed the pattern of the other badges to made this.

Also, since is a zero points achievement with only informative purposes, players who have already gotten the Misty badge Badge II Badge II (10) should automatically have this, the game is already too tedious to require a second playthrought.

that looks really cute tbh
and the most important thing is to get TWO Clefairies which is the easiest piece of info to miss
