Since this is homebrew, would it be allowed to link the game download location here? Or is it a patch of another Final Fantasy ROM ?
Posted: 21 Nov, 2014 14:30
Either way, patches are okay to host. Somebody should post the patch here for sure.

But then people don't do it right.
I'm no legal expert, but linking to a ROM download should be fine(or at least the page linking to it), as long as you're not the one hosting the ROM file.

Yeah the one I am using is version 1.1 and had problems with it until it was a direct download. Ill use a link to the site link where I got it later. As using older mod or china version is a different set completely

I just want to boot it up so I can see the unofficial submitted achievements :p

I used the Final Fantasy VII - Advent Children [Final v1.1].nes
Simple but use any others and achievements will either not work and be all over the place.

Load up FF3 and automatically get some cheese for this hack. Guess it's hacked from FF3?

That is interesting. I think it might be. That game will need to have a seperate link I think lol.

I would do it myself if I could, but if not can you correct 'nostalgia' here? http://retroachievements.org/achievement/16912
Also 'survival' http://retroachievements.org/Achievement/17069
http://retroachievements.org/Achievement/17070 is missing an ' in its 'its'.
Also there's a lot of 'Equipt' that can be 'equipped' and uncapitalized...
Sephiroth is misspelt (also ' after characters) on http://retroachievements.org/Achievement/17691 despite getting it right on many other occasions... also
http://retroachievements.org/Achievement/17197 - http://retroachievements.org/Achievement/17224 and http://retroachievements.org/Achievement/17627
Summons has no need for an ' http://retroachievements.org/Achievement/17692
Characters does need an ' after the s http://retroachievements.org/Achievement/17693
Also if first love is possessive it needs an ' after the e http://retroachievements.org/Achievement/17260
'Life' is misspelt here http://retroachievements.org/Achievement/17266
'Fulfil' is here http://retroachievements.org/achievement/16916

Done, thanks for the reports.

By the way, the roms linked above have FFII music, but some recorded beginnings I notice have 8-bit FFVII music, so which is the correct version? Are the ones linked here those that have problems with materia?
https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/563414-final-fantasy-ii/54792202 from eight years ago differentiates them and calls this one inferior, but the other one no sound and at that point no translation and an exe. So, which one is better to go with, or is the one linked here not very inferior?
