    Don't kill any enemies until you get the phaleg key. As soon as you get it and before opening that door, kill all the enemies.

    You must unlock the door with the key. but don't access it. once unlocked you go in a room where there are no monsters. turn off the flashlight and radio and annihilate all monsters in that area before entering the phaleg door.
