Swordless is really funny because 1st quest swordless is absurdly brutal and then 2nd quest swordless feels like a break in comparison; the 1st quest makes you bomb Wizzrobes and Darknuts so many times but 2nd quest requires bombing a room of Wizzrobes exactly one time at a point when you can already have almost every upgrade, and never Darknuts due to early Magic Wand access. The hardest part is likely to be a knowledge gap between 1st and 2nd quest, and that can be solved with a guide, and probably will be solved that way by most people given how absurd 2nd quest gets at times.
Note that I would still say it's quite impressive to do either swordless run regardless, I'm not diminishing the achievement of doing 2nd quest swordless, I'm mostly just saying it's really funny to me that this is the one situation in which 2nd quest is going to be a lot easier for most people than 1st quest. 2nd quest has got so many annoying quirks but it does have an easier swordless run going for it of all things.
@14ausher You're spot on about the second quest being easier swordless. The wand is reasonably accessible bringing the difficulty down quite a bit. Bomb management in both quests was a nightmare for us, though.
