Note to self: Donut Secret 1 (secret exit) cannot be done as you need to activate a P-switch. Therefore all 4 exits are off-limits

76 is the max possible, without yoshi clip in vanilla dome 2 it's 74

Orb glitch can be done coinless in Chocolate Island 1 by using the reserve box to drop 2 powerups offscreen, then using a 3rd powerup to do the item swap. To my knowledge, the limit with orb increases from 76 → 98

You can technically do 94 exits without orb (Vanilla Done 2 normal exit and Sunken Ghost Ship are not possible glitchless), but yes the max is 76 without glitches (since Vanilla Ghost House - Cookie Mountain are blocked by VD2 and all of the Valley of Bowser is blocked by SGS).

With glitches, the max is indeed 98 with (coinless) orb (which can also be done in Chocolate Island 4, by the way). It might also be worth pointing out that one of the two that can't be done without glitches -- VD2 -- can also be done with cloud, for which there is a coinless setup. I'd definitely just do coinless orb for that one, but cloud is an option.

For the unintended exits beyond Front Door and Back Door you need to either (i) eat berries for Yoshi's House; or (ii) do a goal tape swap for Funky secret exit, Valley of Bowser 4 exit 3, and Star World 5 exit 3. All of those involve collecting coins.

(As for the other 9 unintended exits outside of the A2 exit route, I honestly haven't thought about whether or not they can be done coinless, but I doubt it. Also no one wants to do them at all, with or without coins. ;) )

Also, if you're doing it glitchless, you should be glad that Vanilla Ghost House and Valley Ghost House normal exit are blocked off for you.... because those are by far the worst two exits to get. :D
