If you saved inside Midas River & load from there, then the map ID won't refresh and you won't be able to submit your record.

Seems like RetroArch has issues with this one, even if you leave the area and go back in it will only start the leaderboard lik 50% of the time.

Fixed this one so that it works even if you load a save at Midas River and also shouldn't have issues starting if you are holding left or right when you start falling.

i've just got those 100 coins and the leaderboard doesn't get the score, but it was showing the score while i was getting those coins.

Yeah can't seem to get this Leaderboard to work. The score tracker shows up during the minigame, but it never seems to want to actually post the score after, and I get a "Leaderboard Attempt Failed" message after leaving the area.

same problem as above, the score tracker appears but doesn't submit, either resets or disappears like failed, and I've just got the 100 coins cheevo and it uploaded normally

I submitted a ticket regarding this leaderboard using the "report an issue with this achievement" on the achievement page for the "Collect 100 coins in Midas River". The latest entries to the leaderboard are from mid-March 2021. It seems that whatever the Leaderboard is looking for to "complete" the attempt (such as a specific memory address) is not happening in the Emulator. Makes me wonder if a new version came out around mid-March of 2021 and something changed in that new version that caused the leaderboard to fail?

For the record: The leaderboard attempt does trigger, but it never completes. The counter stays in the bottom right until I leave the area and go to a new location. If I return to the Midas River while the counter is in the bottom right, it doesn't fail. The counter stays until I got to a different location at which point I see the "Leaderboard attempt failed" in the bottom left.

Oh wow, yeah it was never triggering after my last "fix" in March that was focused on fixing the flaky start condition. Should be working properly now and fixing the cancel and submit conditions
