Hints for the critical mode?

For Critical Mode, keep in mind that enemies can only be killed by Critical hits, but you can damage them, think of it like you drop their HP to 1 and can only kill with Criticals. From the beginning of the game until the Underwater Temple, you'll have to train and get used to Criticals, always stick to Defend Critical since they're safer.

Once you reach the Underwater Temple, find the Critical Training Scroll with Jacques on the area where you find the Blue Disk. Head to a Save Point and complete the Critical Training, you'll unlock the Black Vest for Ako which will make all your attacks being Critical. For the bosses, analyze their attack patterns, deal a lot of damage to them and try using Quick Draw to get a good timing for the final blow.

Mastered! Guildernstern was easier than I thought. Killed him second try! Nobunaga was way harder. Amazing game, holds up extremely well even today!

A cool achievement you could put is defeating Brainster with Michelle, because if you go back to the first fight playing with her, he will be there waiting for a new fight.
