FF1 is great, tho you can really tell that it was not build with MP system in mind, but as with every other version it remains a great game.
FF2 on the other hand... Lets just say that i'm extremely surprised that it didn't kill the franchise.
Don't want to spoil anything, so the only suggestion i'm gonna give for FF2 is read a missables guide, there are plenty for Pixel Remaster which should serve just fine for this version as well. There are 2 points of no return that can make bestiary un-completable for your current playthrough.
Second tip, treat the quest characters the same way you treat your main trio. Leveling them and keeping them well equipped will save you a major headache later.
There's one more info though, but I can't 100% confirm since there's been quite some time since I've played this. There is a 'World Map' area on the Whisperwind Cove that I GUESS the Abyss Worm can appear there too. But again, I can't 100% confirm this.
