Mastered. The hack itself is pretty awesome. The achievement set is great as well. You must PLAN AHEAD to master this set. Save all the evolution items. I'd suggest make back-up save files every so often. There are a lot of missables in this set and getting all 210 Pokemon can be frustrating, but possible. I think the area 47-B is bugged. Catch Lickitung there before you progress any further, otherwise there will no longer be any random encounters.. can someone verify this?

Why does this game have so many unmarked missables?
All the legendaries, Kangaskhan, Snorlax, the Patrol Pallet fight and the Shellder - Rhyhorn trade.

hey guys just wanted to mention that i managed to find lickitung at the top of cycling road after failing to find it on 47-B. now whether the developer has released an update im not sure. but i hope i can save at least one person from resetting

Mastered! According to RetroArch, this took me 11:48:46 in real time and I finished with a final In-Game time of 64:10.

Gen 1 has possibly the worst UI/UX of any Pokemon game. It's still not as bad as Gen 4 because atleast you can speed it up to play quickly, but you still have lots of horrible mechanics like the limited inventory and the change box system in the PC.

That being said, Pokemon Brown does what it can with the Gen 1 engine to make a fairly enjoyable romhack experience. This feels almost like a main series game which is a great sign for a romhack. If you ever have an urge to replay Gen 1, I'd definitely recommend this hack.

As for the achievement set, it's fairly standard. The hardest skill-based achievements are beating the Elite Four + Champion with a single Pokemon and beating the Level 100 Postgame fight with a single Pokemon, both of which can be cheesed with X items or your own Level 100 Pokemon.

The most annoying achievement is the Catch 'Em All achievement. There are tons of item-based evolutions in this game, so if you throw out any of the necessary items, you will instantly fail the challenge and you'll have to start over. I recommend doing all of the trading-based achievements first to ensure you don't miss any of them.

The one thing to watch out for is the Eevee you receive from a trade must be evolved into Leafeon. If you evolve it into anything else, you will have to restart.

The creator of this hack is the type of guy who played Gen 1/2 and said "Huh, this game doesn't have enough Level 55+ evolutions" As a result, he added two new pseudolegendary evolutions: Tangrowth at Level 55 and Mamoswine at an astounding Leve 58. Luckily, you can buy rare candies in the department store at 4800 a pop, which is definitely worth the investment.

I estimate I spent roughly half of my playtime on the Catch 'Em All achievement, which is actually less than expected for Pokemon. I may play Prism eventually (to prepare for POC)

Also I can also confirm what Varilinity said about Lickitung appearing at the north point of Cycling Road.
For me, I never found a single encounter of anything on Route 47-B, so that saved my run for sure.

Ryuenjin, if you are playing the version with the achievements (version 5.4) there is no way to catch Mankey, you can only catch wild Primeape. Hope that it helps.
