First time revisiting this game since I was a kid. I gained a new sense appreciation and of critique for gen 1, but overall I really enjoyed my time with it and I just love how Pikachu centric all of the achievements are. I honestly ended up going out of my way to just use Pikachu for everything. I can't help but love this lil rascal so much.

The worst of the set definitely belongs to the Safari zone and the Game Corner, plus just the general grindiness of the final pokemon. EXP All and some runs through the League Pika-only made it a lot more bearable.

Thank you to the dev of this set, the achievements' graphics as well are by far some of my favorite on the site, kudos to who designed them.

Glad to have played this again after many years. The only annoying one was the elite four Pikachu only run as I used body slam on another Pokemon and sold seismic toss. Had to use Double-Edge and submission as replacements.

Overall, very fun game set.

This set being as easy as it is after doing the RB one is pretty nice. Gen 1 jank is in your favor so even the harder achievements for the pikachu solos aren't that bad to do. Bit of a grind but thats all

I think you can always drop his mood by putting him in boxes.

Sandro's right, if you put Pikachu in the PC, his mood will decrease every time. It's pretty tedious, but its the fastest way if you're at the end of the game

FINALLY MASTERED THIS GEM. Never have I completed a pokedex in any Pokémon game before so that was def fun. Also, like Zarozax stated thanks to everyone who left tips and guides to this game you truly are the goats.

While this certainly is the easiest pokemon mainline set to complete, thematically it does a great job showcasing what makes this version unique and making Pikachu the star of the playtrough. Great set!

Fun fact, if you are in Rute 1 and your Pikachu is dancing (up the ledge) the npc who gives you a potion can step un your Pikachu like he's nothing. Try it yourself. How disrespectful.

Mastered. As expected, leveling dragonair was what took the most time. I really liked how the Team Rocket achievements didn't require emptying your party before each fight, rather just needing to not switch off Pikachu to get them.

Yeah... it was Red/Blue + Pikachu. And James. James was cool. Not Jessie, just James. I like James.

Anyways, the MissigNo. glitch is real nice for Rare Candies, just shove them down all of your Pokemon's throats after that and the Pokedex completion's honestly trivilaized

Gen 1 has been mastered... mostly... I still have RB's Bonus and Midori's Monotype subset (and Regulation Red maybe?)

I'm so familiar with Gen 1 that I don't wanna move on to Gen 2 lol

Besides that, great game. Worth all the hype it gets.

PS: If you want more gen 1 and like to torture yourself try chinese pirate pokemon yellow on nes.

Wow... First ever mastery, this is so nice to come back and add this fun challenge to my childhood game! I discovered than it was really hardcore to catch all of those monsters (hello Safari Zone, I hate you). Fun set, was nice to MAYBE one day I'll be crazy enough to try the Prof Oak set, but not now.
