I love games that give you a full multi segmented health bar and decide to make you lose a full third of it from getting hit once anyway.

Mastered! Great game. The difficulty was just right; hard set of challenges, but worth the points, and by the end of it you FEEL like a vampire slayer.

This set is a bit more manageable than CV3 for the NES, so if you can do that one, you should be able to take on this one.

25th master. Again, shadowserg’s youtube videos are very helpful here for the Castlevania related stuff regarding boss battles. Can’t recommend it enough. I had to use level codes on some of these in order to redo challenges until I got them (vgmuseum’s castlevania section is a good place for these, and ign for SCIV’s ones). Expert wasn’t that difficult, but SCIV’s No Death Run was much harder lol.

For some reason some cheevos wont appeared when I beat the game as John so I beat it twice with him, and again with Eric, but overall it's such an awesome game, It's one of my favorites if not my favorite Castlevania I've played so far, oh man I love this franchise.

I loved this set. I don't come to RetroAchievements to just beat a game. I want to feel like I've mastered it. This set forced me to learn this game inside and out. Perfect.

In my top 3 Castlevania games. Love this game and can play it over and over again. Really solid set, but there are a couple of achievements that are oddly specific and bit much.

Great game for what it is, but the difficulty is as unforgiving as I remember it. Some fall deaths are extremely frustrating.
