What a poor first transition to handhelds for a franchise like Castlevania to get. Besides possibly the music, nothing in this game can be called good. The level design is terrible, the enemies are In annoying places, easy bosses, molasses speed Belmont with nothing to attack with besides the whip, and bullshit platforming.

Because this game was in my way for a Castlevania marathon. Had to do it. This game didn't seem that bad at first until you get to the second level, that's when the fun begins lol

I give it a pass because it was the first attempt at a GB Castlevania and I think it's not bad. Sure it has flaws that Belmont's Revenge fixed in pretty much every way but I also think it complements Belmont's Revenge which has easier stages and harder bosses while CV The Adventure has harder stages & easier bosses. I also liked finding the secrets. The game grows on you the more you play it. I've owned it since back in the day (was my 6th GB game) and I like it a lot more now than I used to.

Can somebody help me the "quick fix" hack is not recognized by the emulator and I don't know what I do wrong

The quick fix hack is not allowed. You'll have to play the game as it was originally intended unfortunately.

This game is really fun once you understand it! (i wish there were more crazy achievements for it here)

Key Tipps for all (new) Players:
- learn to HOLD your INPUTS until they play out! (it is actually intended this way by design!)
- try to "panic slowly". adjust your playing speed to the game.
- do NOT use Savestates! setbacks are meant to happen in this game!
(it sounds weird, but you will find out stuff that you otherwise wouldn't, so play around for a bit before you surrender to cheating, you will see what i mean...)

Of the three GB Castlevania games, this is the most difficult and the least enjoyable.
The strong point of the game is the soundtrack, which I think is the best of the GB castlevania games.

@CassetteCobra there is a hack available that fixes the speed and adds full color too. No achievement support yet but its WAY more playable!
