Avoid the ? if you're 1st, it'll penalize you. The rubberband is absurd, your Black Louie WILL be outclassed by the AI's Hyper Louie. So for me, this game is mediocre at best. My child times ruined haha.

The Accelerator Plate Achievements can be done as long as you touch ANY plate, you don't need to hit every one on every lap, as long as you hit just one each lap, it will count.

Remember, you can use the VS battle to get money faster, just use the same save on card 1 and 2, and you can bet to 9999 coins per race

This can be mastered between 4-6 hours depending on your skill and using the vs mode method to farm money Lokomelo mentioned above, however for most it will likely take longer due to learning every track.

For the mirror bomber castle course I would recommend using King Tirra as this Animal has the most speed in the game. Ignore the accelerator plate 3 jump short cut unless you have really mastered it, and just focus on navigating the course while avoiding mines and the fireplates. Before the race buy 2 speed boosts and save them for the end as your opponents will always be there or abouts.

I managed to master in 1 day and 16 hours (Could have been less but i had to work) after i reset my acheivements due to the fact I thought my game was bugged as Highway Star Road wasn't available, I then had 100,000 in my bank on my 2nd run through which gave me access to it, also ensure to buy every Animal in the stable for access to Highway Star Road.

Nice set, my favourite master so far.

I wonder if JPN version also could have achievements,,,

There is a huge difference in overall game difficulty between the US and JPN versions.
But I think JPN is also quite suitable for setting some special achievements.

Such as using the beginner's mount to complete the Normal course challenge (limited to JPN version)

It is probably an impossible task to use this kind of challenge in the US version (even I made a video to record the challenge of all tracks including mirror using only the beginner's mount)

But I believe it is unlikely that anyone will have the patience to complete the hellish achievements I mentioned above.
Just my thoughts

I just thought it would be interesting if the JPN version also had an achievement list.

And Time trial MODE achievement should be added to break the challenge

18/02/2024 Bomberman Fantasy Race

Ranking - 9,5/10

I still remember me in my childhood playing this on my PS1, and i don't remember be that hard, holy jesus.

The catch-up system in racing games has always existed, it is nothing new, it is what makes the game competitive but it has to be dosed so as not to leave the player feeling frustrated for not being able to get an advantage over the bot.

However, in this game the catch-up is RIDICULOUS because it is so UNBALANCED, sometimes I paused the game in the middle of a race and started laughing because it is so ABSURD, you get BLACK LOUIE which is the last Louie that is sold in the stable that is technically the fastest in the game, and will be easily overtaken by a Hyper Louie 2 seconds after you take the lead in the race.

All of this doesn't make me hate this game, as incredible as it seems I liked the challenge, it's a classic from my childhood and it's rewarding to play it after so many years.





TIP:
If you went through all this, and started to hate the game, I recommend that you give it a second chance and just play the normal races, without being the inverted ones, and without being the Highway Star Road, because in these normal races the catch- up and more normal, it's still unbalanced as hell, but it's less frustrating.

Mastered! I played this a lot during my childhood, which made it easier. Though I was better at it when I was a kid, haha. Very fun!
