Maybe a bonus subset could be made in the future focused on collecting monsters and include getting all monsters in one session for those who want to take on that challenge.

That was my next idea, Cheatsalot123! I could create a subset further on including recruiting every monster as well as obtaining all of their drops (Like the subset for DQ8.) I apologize for any frustrations, so I hope the added 100 points and fun party building achievements make up for that. Last thing I want is for a bad player experience, so it hurt knowing I had to demote something.

Why the achievements "The Legendary Family" and "The Cover Heroes" are missable? I'm asking because I'm in the marrying part of the game. Can I beat him with any family? I'm remember the Mildrath fight can be repeated, as he's the last boss, if I'm not mistaken.

I was writing out an explanation but realized that I marked them missable at the start of deving, gonna take those off now LOL. But yeah you can beat him with either Bianca or Flora as your wife

@RedrumOverdose You can encounter many gen 1 monsters in the Sugoroku boards, even the missable. I remember I had the same problem in the DS version, searched the faqs and found it. You have to be in a specific level range though depending of the monster you want battle. I can't confirm if it has all monsters, but it's worth searching in case someone is missing some gen 1 monster that dont appear commonly anymore.

@luissi I will check the boards. I haven't done them yet so I hope my level will be eligible to encounter the Screwball Pitcher because I missed it in Gen 1 and everywhere I'm seeing they can only be encountered at that point in the game.

If I remember correctly, the level that counts is the one for the character that is playing the board, so you can put a low level monster for that matter.
@gollawiz That's understandable. I finished every version of this game, but never knew until now that there was (supposedly) missable monsters. In the DS version, I captured every monster, but had trouble with two old-gen ones. Luckily I found them on the boards in gen 3. Now I'm truly worried if I'd skipped some missable monster (if really there are any) that'll make me replay all over again xD

Mastered! I didn't remember this version of the game being so beautiful, the monsters animation are very nice to see! Had a excuse to replay one of the best games from my favorite RPG franchise, and the cheevos was a great addition to the challenge and the fun. Thanks for the awesome set!

One thing I can recommend: if you're having trouble with some RNG grinds, try changing scenery. I spent hours and hours trying to grab certain enemies only to try a different area and catch them within a half hour. Could be coincidental, but I'm regretting not trying that strategy sooner.

Can someone please tell me how tight the levels are for the level 30 Bjorn cheevo? Can you play casually or do you need to skip almost all fights etc?

You can play casually. If I remember correctly, I got there with the levels around 22 - 25.

@QRS666, it sort of depends on play style. I would say 30 is about the natural level progression for that event, but then you have to make sure the rest of your team is properly leveled, which isn't always easy to do while the Protagonist is also accumulating experience. My recommendation is to play normally, and if you reach level 27 or so before the tower at the end of act 2, consider killing off your Protagonist except in situations where you absolutely need him. And if you reach 29 prior to Bjorn, definitely kill him off while you build up the children. I feel like level 22 for both kids and maybe a Slime Knight or Golem is a great party to have for that fight. The big key is to make sure you have protection from heavy hits and breath attacks while also doing big damage fast.

Only the hero has to be below 30. Kill the hero off and level up the other characters above 30 to make the battle easier.
