The max number for Intelligence is 25 and Spirit is 15.
Whelkman 15 Sep 2020 23:20
I said "at least" above. It has to be greater than the numbers listed, so it's 46 Fights to guarantee growth, not 45. Same goes for the other figures.
AngeloLeonhart 15 Sep 2020 23:20
You'll also get 10 Bonus points on almost every stat at the end of Mysidia's Tower, just make sure to check every orb and leave the center one as the last.
SapphireSuicune 15 Sep 2020 23:44
do the bonuses apply to everyone?
SapphireSuicune 15 Sep 2020 23:45
Power level 79!
Whelkman 16 Sep 2020 00:10
The Mysidia bonuses grant +10 to a stat to one random party member.
SapphireSuicune 4 Oct 2020 03:53
Spent like an hour trying to kill the Emperor, didn't realize he drains HP.
NeoRizer 2 Dec 2020 05:35
These achievements don't want to activate with Chaos Rushes translation of the game which is closer to the GBA version, what's up with that?
Throgg 13 Aug 2021 03:18
the agility cheevo was the hardest for me, I suggest making firion the only person in the front row and fighting monsters near kashuon over and over in fast forward

The Sleep Blade or Slumber is a life saver against all dragons and Gigas. Keep it equipped in items section do you can exchange it during battle.
kevinmk760 9 Mar 2022 20:43
Are there any missable in this set?
Whelkman 9 Mar 2022 21:17
The "no insta-kills" are missable if you do use insta-kills. You can do dumb things like toss the Diamond Mace and never see it again.

Mastered, but I highly recommend people not play this game, or at least this version. It's exceptionally grindy. I think the leveling system here is fine, but the game stretches about 10 hours of content over 20+ hours, and requires a lot of grinding. Not to mention getting 80 in each stat will take entirely too long.
jeftah 10 Aug 2022 01:18
Nonsense, and an ill recommendation above. This version of FF2 is astoundingly ahead of its time. A game where you can truly build your characters as you wish. I've finished the game several times in all of its different iterations and this version (along with the PS1) are fantastic games.

In order to enjoy it though, prior reading IS required. The systems are not intuitive. But once you understand its inner workings, FF2 stands above many others, if not for its innovative way of achieving true build diversity with its deep levelling system. Best resource I've found on its inner workings: https://guides.gamercorner.net/ffii/walkthrough/game-systems

The agility stat is counterintuitively probably the most important stat in the game, at least for the final dungeon. With a high agility on each character, you can always get a First Strike, land more hits per round, and flee from fights you don't want.

Initially, gaining agility is very slow because you gain agility by dodging attacks. However, the higher your agility is, the more likely you are to dodge attacks. It will eventually spiral out of control to you gaining agility every few fights or so.

Mastered! Thanks for the set.
TarotCard0 7 Oct 2022 03:52
I started a new game with achievements on, and when I tried to save over my file, I unlocked an unreasonable amount of achievements. Not all of them thankfully, so there's still some for me to collect, but a lot. I guess there's something weird about how the achievements are handled with this game.
Jungon 8 Nov 2022 18:50
Apparently we get more intelligence if our assigned black mage is leveling up their magics.. mastered, finally finished playing what I started in 2005 =)
FeelingBlue 28 Nov 2022 04:50
Thank you for the set.

Mastered (platinado)! Not that bad of a game although the level\stats system can be annoying. I've ended up grinding so much that every boss including the last one were very easy to beat. For the "80 stats" cheevos, i just used this setup thoughout the entire game: Firion (White Mage), Maria (Black Mage) and Guy (Axe\Shield), all in the front row (to build up HP) until the endgame.
