Writing a little guide on how to complete each run and I felt I should let people know early about some runs if you choose to only use one Pokmon. Ice/Jynx also fulfills Psychic, Flying/Pidgey also fulfills Normal (but you need to do Joey anyway so whatever), Ghost/Gastly and Grass/Bulbasaur both fulfill Poison, and Rock/Geodude fulfills Ground. That should save you three runs if you plan around those ones.

My guess is either "Regulation" which is a hack that shares most of the same achievements here, or "Subset Oak Challenge" which is an ungodly grinding fest.

If it does, it most likely will be a "Beat gym leader X with only Y types", but leave out impossible ones at that point. Like dragon types against Brock cannot be done without glitches under normal circumstances.

Important to note that getting the Eevee from Celdaon and immediately evolving it will not work. I tried this during the Electric challenge and Erika's achievement did not pop, so assume this is also the case for Flareon and Vaporeon despite them on the "allowed" list on the Type ID doc.

So does that also mean that catching a high enough level poliwhirl and using a water stone wouldn't work for the fighting type one?

They really should make it so USING them in battle is what matters.
