I still have the 2nd quest to finish and finishing up level 9 for the first quest. But levels 1 through 8 should be functioning correctly for achievements.

Does this have the same issue the original does, with having no indication of which bushes to burn, or walls to bomb?

I'd say this is even more cryptic and difficult than the original game. I'd recommend looking up the game maps online to avoid getting lost.
