So for the one session achievements, do you need to reload a save before any of those missions are done to start it over or do you need to start a new file?

I literally passed the final mission with all Sal's missions completed in one session without failing (only one of the missable story ones left) and my game black screened after the credits. I wanted to go for these achievements but they said it's not available for this game (same as VCS and CTW), if anyone is still playing this and can provide me with any info please send me a message, I don't know if I need to find a different version of the game or it's something to do with the PPSSPP emulator.

The missable cheevos are so poorly thought out. In concept, it's a fun idea but in practice you have to go through half the game in one session without dying. And I can tell you that having to restart the whole campaign because you got instantly busted by a cop that appeared on screen at the last second after you fell off a bike just a few missions before reaching the goal is not a pleasant feeling. Gonna have to pass.

I'm probably gonna give this set another shot later or give a chance to the PS2 one (unlikely seeing how badly it runs) but for now I'll focus on other games with less missables.

Tony is a cheater, but cheats are something implemented within the game by the developers themselves, so where's the trick? There are tons of trophies that need to be reviewed because theyโ€™re literally unfairโ€”especially in games where the average completion time is 30 hours or more and you're forced to start the game again. With these kinds of trophies, itโ€™s normal for people not to want to play them, because some nerd who knows the game by heart thinks everyone else should be just like him. There are no trophies on PlayStation or Xbox that are as demanding as many of the ones you find around here.

It is I, who must inform you that most retro games have cheats implemented by developers, yet they shall be blocked from achievement sets in order to maintain the expected challenge during the playthough.

I asure you that by no means you must know the game by heart to satisfy the requirements for this set, nor to beat it even if you are not an avid gamer or have limited time due to IRL responsibilities.

Having said so, I encourage you to try the PS2 version of this game, as the set is considered less challenging and more accessible for the average player.

As a closing note, please be aware that PlayStation/Xbox trophies do not follow the same mindset as Retroachievements sets, where the former usually focus on giving a general coverage on the game mechanics and events, us developers strive to give players as many challenges on the games that most people have spend their youth playing and might think they know and have done everything the game offers.

Mastered! That chained missions achievements surely one of the hardest challenges I've ever attempt. Playing through every missions in one session without failing is way too much. Especially in GTA games where simple random things can get you wasted / busted easily. Making it unpleasant gaming experience if you playing the game for the first time.
