My own thoughts on "best version"...PSX is definitely the worst. Only 800 Lums, and missing some stages. It does have some unique elements though.N64/PC seems to be the "original vision": 1K Lums, but no extras.DC has said extras.And PS2 adds an open world and splits the 5-Lum items to have more collectibles overall... but locks some basic abilities behind lum paywalls. If it weren't for that, it would be unarguably the best. Still think it is regardless.

This game is geniunely a 10/10. The surreal, dark, dreamlike atmosphere, the very serious but still a little bit goofy story, intensely powerful soundtrack that gives you goosebumps, challenging but not punishing gameplay, Rayman 2 is truly a masterpiece. Wish we had more games like it. I'm glad we have a set for almost every version, it gives me a great reason to replay it all the time.
