because the HD version has an achievement set made by SEGA whilst this is a website designed around making achievements

The Steam achievements are pretty blend since it's just the normal route for 180 emblems, even though RA has much better set, I still think it's too basic by just being "Collect 180 emblems" like normal play, I wish there were more crazy achievements that makes you think outside de box like the 999 rings or the White Jungle No Buttons one.

I’ve been having a miserable time with the chao achievements. Is it possible to check chao stats in this version? I tried to set up the VMU screen in Flycast, but to no avail.

You can only check your chao status by playing the Chao Adventure 2 VMU game that you must install in your memory card and play directly from the VMU there.

In an emulator case, after putting your desired chao in Chao Adventure 2 you should use a program called "Elysian VMU emulator" to play it, the rom would be your memory card file that has Chao Adventure 2 installed with your Chao.

Thank you for taking the time to answer my question! I’ve been struggling to beat a few of the later races and I wasn’t sure if my stats were maxed out, but I’m glad I can finally check for myself later today. Worst case scenario, I can gorge my chao on fruit and spam stamina for the win lol

Mastered! While I was never a fan of the chao garden and there a handful of stages that annoy me, I’ll always love this game. It was interesting to finally experience the Dreamcast version after having played it on GameCube and Steam several times before. Thankfully, the Elysian VMU emulator was really easy to set up, so I’ll know how to check chao stats when I get around to completing Adventure 1.

Dreamcast Controls Are So Awful and i cant try and lower the Analog Since it doesnt do anything

If you mean the character moving diagonally even though you are holding straight forward, that's an issue that happens on emulators, the only way to fix is using an original DC controller connected to your computer.

Also, if you're using Retroarch's Flycast core, make sure your analog stick input sensitivity is set to something around 1.4 so you can reach the actual maximum range.
