I don't really get it, it's easy to get it early on SADX but the camera makes it incredibly annoying on dreamcast, am I missing something because it really doesn't easy.

3rd master - loved this game as a kid and it is surreal to play it once again because as a kid I didn't know English so I didn't get past Sonic's Ice Cap and was only replaying the same levels again and again. For new players : Sonic Adventure DX Prima's guide (as shared by Numberman at the absolute top) was extremely helpful (mainly for collecting cheevs) and also andvariAR's guide has prooven extremely useful (https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/dreamcast/198694-sonic-adventure/faqs/12598)
Also - IDK if that was placebo or not but Big's B emblems are easy-medium hard and I was really struggling with A levels. After I ran out of patience I just did all B's and then started trying A's again - for whatever reason it was MUCH easier to catch 2+kg fish - probably placebo effect but if you are desperate you can try it

anybody know where I can find some sort of tutorial or explanation as to how to use a vmu emulator? ... assume I'm... not smart.

So this may be a weird comment but are most if not all of these for a different region rom? I have all of my roms downloaded from the USA region and would hate to have to download different ones for each game that has achievements. thanks for any info

kmzero, the achievements should work with the USA region, check the game forum for more information.

The game forum or the "Linked Hashes" page should indicate what region and what version the linked ROMs are for the set. Most Console games support the NTSC version and most mobile games support the PAL version. This is due to the pal console releases only being 50hz. Mobile games don't have this issue so we normally choose to support the pal version for multi-language support.

Mastered! Grew up playing this to death so it was all pretty easy! But I like some of the added challenges, especially the Big the Cat one. Had no idea there was more to his Hot Shelter stage! Was really cool to see!

Chao mode is so terrible in this game. The camera angle is awful and it's so tedious to raise the chao compared to SA2. I wish I could just transfer the Chao from SA2 but it doesn't seem possible to do so.

Use a VMU emulator to raise your Chao. They die way too fast in this one and you need all stats around 800-900 to win the races.

I never had a single chao die on me when I was playing the set. I would go in dump my animals on my chao and leave.

not sure if its sadx exclusive but the infinite animal usage bug makes chao emblems alot easier. you can just give the chao the same individual animal endlessly until it reaches the skill level you want

Holy i don't want to ever play chao race in Sonic Adventurer 1 ever again! About the achivements, pretty good overall, i don't like the randomness of hot shelter with big the cat BUT there are many cool achivements like the amy one that is pretty unique and makes you think a bit on how to platform around the level without jumping alot, at the end the achivements no only require you to 100% the game but makes you explore the whole game, what else can you ask? Good job on this one.

I couldn't get the infinite animal glitch to work. No issues in SA2 or either of the GC ports. Am I missing something, or is the positioning just way more specific?
