Unfortunately, I didn't keep a detailed list, but it definitely happened at least a couple other times before and after that point, which made me actually reload my save, just because I thought I had gotten disconnected from the internet for a moment, or something. When the same phenomonon happened, I realized it wasn't me.

I’m having issues with that interactive map everyone says they’re using for the items. The map doesn’t show a lot of items that are in the list and it barely works on mobile. Am I the only one struggling with it?

It was definitely my least favorite achievement in the set @Yhergen, and the only reason why it wasn't my last achievement was because I prioritized it immediately after beating the game, since I didn't want something like THAT to be the reason I would ragequit the Mastery. Regardless, yes, there are a few items that Nemo took out of the game that aren't in that map, but 95% of them are (There are also a few that just don't count at all, but I ranted about that already a few replies above this one already, so...).

And also, yes, I can imagine that navigating that map would be miserable on mobile. Thankfully I only play RA on PC, otherwise that awful scavenger hunt would have proven like thrice as bad. :P

Mastery #20, first hack I played with achievements. This set should be the golden standard for ROMhacks. We’ve all played Emerald tons of times, allowing Rare Candies and Master Balls (minus one achievement) was a great decision. There is no need to make the game a chore just for the sake of being “more hardcore”.

It was a short and sweet completion with the allowance of Giftcodes, definitely a highly recommended Romhack for those who haven't played Emerald in a long time or even never. The Quality of Life changes from modern games were welcome, but at the same time I kinda wish Battle Frontier was a thing to actually fully get usage of it. One aspect about it, that was so gate keeping for most people, was the team building and this romhack makes team building insanely much easier than the vanilla versio. Also allowing for more variety than only going through with your usual Latios/Metagross/Swampert Team in Battle Frontier.

But I also understand that even with that, some Battle Facilities can still be a pain. (Looking at Palace for example, even if you don't need much of a winning streak or Pyramid, which rather tests your patience by going through the Dungeons 10 times)

Mastery #1 !!

I couldn't have asked for a better set for my first mastery on Retro Achievements. Pokemon Emerald Seaglass is an all-time great rom hack, and a fantastic way to revisit the gen three Hoenn region with some modern QoL mixed in. This set was a great way to explore this amazing hack. My final team ended up being Swampert, Gardevoir, Annihilape, Ampharos, Crobat and Hydrapple.

man. forced to battle every trainer + achievement level caps dont match the ingame ones = tons of busywork swapping out mons and waaay too much time spent making sure nobody goes over the cap. i have to keep on juggling my team members and building new mons from scratch just so i can keep on battling trainers, and my actual A team are spending more time in the box than in battle because otherwise they'd outlevel every single gym.

if achievement level caps matched the ingame ones then we would never have to worry about this and could just battle anyone we want without fear of overlevelling anything. is there a reason they're different? i'm very much enjoying this hack, and i'd love be able to enjoy this set as well but it's just becoming a hassle.

Mastery #19~! A really good set that makes you actually have to use a rotation team, which to me is a plus! A very fun and fast set that makes Hoenn really feel alive and well. Getting to explore every nook and cranny, and seeing everything the game has to offer (except contests and battle frontier which i wish were included in the set, as the team building this hack offers would make getting those achievements much more enjoyable than the base emerald set). Really fun, would recommend for anyone that wants a pretty easy and fun set! Yatta~!

Directly North from the PokéCentre, there's a vendor that sells every Evolution item in the game, from the generic Evo Stones even up to Peat Block, Black Augurite and the 3 types of Apples.

Absolutely gorgeous rom hack.
I thought I was doing a good job keeping on top of the "Defeat all Trainers" achievement but I was stuck at 333/335 and had to scour the entire game for honestly a couple of hours. Almost pulling my hair out 😭

Then I hit the grind for Pokédex completion, I was at 420/430, found a shiny Magikarp whilst fishing for Feebas. Dope.

Then to top it off, once I got to 425, I only needed Farigiraf, Wyrdeer and the Dratini line.
I go fishing for Dratini in Meteor Falls, first encounter was shiny. So I ended the run by evolving it to a shiny Dragonite.

Absolute. Peak.

Fantastic set from the Schengoat. Now to head back to the POC and core sets for Emerald.

there seems to be a large number of hidden items in the post-elite 4 section of the safari zone that aren't included in the item achievements. i was spamming the itemfinder and picking up a good 5-6 items and none of them were incrementing the item maniac counter. seems like a potential oversight.

When I saw this romhack had an achievement set it immediately went into my "Want To Play" list. It's a stunning demake of Emerald in a Gen 2 style with a bunch of fun extra bits and quality of life changes which really makes getting everything a lot of fun... almost.

Beat all trainers/find all items (or, in this case, 250 items) are never fun experiences in any Pokemon game I've tried. Usually just leads to you getting a reference and painstakingly checking things off one by one. The game dev didn't intend this so it was just for RA though so I certainly do not blame them.

However, allowing cheats (mainly the Rare Candy and Master Ball cheats) was definitely a good decision from the set dev. Makes post game Pokedex clean-up less of a chore.

The level cap cheevos were fair. Definitely made me think more and use Pokemon I otherwise wouldn't have used. The Elite Four cheevos where you have to build a team with their matching type I thought was a lot of fun to play around with too, so kudos for that!

Had a few issues with cheevos popping randomly, but other than that it's a fun set of a very fun game I'd recommend with or without RAs. The RA set just makes a great experience better.
