Bryan you have claimed the game that ruined our lives XD
Elisson93 10 Nov 2023 03:03
I played this game a lot a few years ago, both on PC and on my cell phone.
DavidYTBR2 10 Nov 2023 05:31
So lagged... is there any PPSSPP Standalone configuration that corrects this or is it just like that?
Elisson93 10 Nov 2023 05:39
This version has a lot of delay ..
Achievess 10 Nov 2023 05:48
GG
Achievess 10 Nov 2023 05:51
@DavidYTBR2 Maybe that lag is from the game because the same thing happens to me, although I found that pausing fixes some collisions, like in the Polargeist level, where there is a part where the cube always dies if you don't do that
dillard 12 Nov 2023 05:09
Mastered! Never thought I'd spend more attempts on Can't Let Go over any demon level I've ever beat. The trick for stereo madness through base after base is to pause then unpause at the beginning of the level. This fixes any future collision issues. Ironically this breaks Can't Let Go, so just play that level normally
WKGames 12 Nov 2023 23:35
@dillard, in Can't Let Go, how did you get past the jump at 1:13 in this video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nTlOljFl3Bw

Whenever I get to that jump, I either die to immediately for jumping too early or I die two jumps after it because the jumps are too large due to lag.
WKGames 12 Nov 2023 23:53
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, I got past that jump by pause buffering but then died to the final triple spike out of stress :(

Hopefully I can beat this soon.
WKGames 13 Nov 2023 00:05
Mastered! I played this in the standalone version of PPSSPP so I don't know my exact playtime, but I'd estimate it was just over 2 hours.

I have beaten 999 demons in Geometry Dash, and at one point I was in the Top 100 Stargrinders in that game. I played on 60Hz mobile throughout my stargrinding journey. People always said 144Hz / 240Hz / 360Hz refresh rates made the game way easier, but I never believed them.

That is, I never believed them until I played this crappy remake of GD. You want to play on 144 Hz? Ha. More like 10Hz. This is the laggiest version of this game I've ever played.

What were once simple jumps in the official version of GD are now 10Hz frame perfect jumps. Before you could buffer your jumps or delay earlier jumps - now you have to get the timing exact or you will either die immediately or die a few jumps after.

That doesn't sound too bad until you start playing - the game's physics have changed dramatically, causing many parts to kill you even when you did nothing wrong. As dillard said, pausing and unpausing can get around these issues in the first five levels, but in Can't Let Go pause buffering tends to lead to death more often than not due to the quick succession of inputs.

This was absolute torture to playthrough - not because the levels are hard - but because I know if I were playing any other version of this game I would 1 attempt all 6 of these levels.

I pray that this set gets a patch to reduce the lag in the future - it is borderline unplayable right now.

Congratulations to whoever made this port, it transformed the first 6 levels of the game, which are extremely easy, into 6 extreme demons. Oh my god this is the worst thing I've ever played 😂😂😂
MatheusBrazuca85 23 Dec 2023 02:08
If you're waking up and thinking about making a port of a old popular game back in the days to psp don't... Just don't, go make something else
Octostomp 20 Jan 2024 14:13
@WKGames as a GD fan you described this game perfectly: It's like there is no extra protection if you are a pixel off. My hardest is xStep but soon it will be Stereo Madness PSP lol
GirlWithoutAFairy 25 Jan 2024 20:50
I wish I'd read the comments before starting. This port is terrible
FPurpose 27 Jan 2024 04:13
My 20th Mastery and 10th person to Master this game. I don't like this game, it has unsynchronized music so I recommend just putting the music off, and just like the others said, the physics and hitboxes are off so pause buffering on some parts where you're not supposed to click but keep dying is good. (for some reason, Can't Let Go is the 3rd easiest for me and Polargeist is straight up impossible)
Noelle96 17 Feb 2024 19:48
This is the most glitchiest game i've ever played in my life. This game make the first 6 levels more dificult than Tidal Wave. I can't imagine if the guy who made this thing gonna make another version of it. This will be the most dificult game ever in the world!!!
