Some tips: Master the charged shot, if you land it perfectly it's a guaranteed x2 goal, regular shots are not worth going for at least in the harder difficulties because they'll likely be saved anyway and even if they aren't the AI can easily equalize, x2 goals give you a better safety net, outside of that, spam tackles and pray.

The set is great but this game has an atrocious difficulty system. Rookie and professional are way too easy if you know what you are doing but on superstar and legend you have to do everything right. Not so fun if you ask me

I’m convinced on Legend difficulty they give you a goalie without hands.

Anyway, some tips:

1. Always tackle before they receive air passes. It’s preferable for them to get an item than for them to retain possession.

2. Depending on your captain/team, you have a different formation. I used Super Team and they played in box formation with high aggression. It was generally advantageous to clear rhe ball to their side of the field and then chase.

3. When the ball is on your side and you are running side-by-side with an opponent. Tackle them into the fence. They cannot use items while they are recovering from electroction.

4. When you are chasing the ball in their corner, tackle them into the fence for the same reason.

5. Practice determining the distance you need to perform a super strike safely. Giant Shells give you more than enough time while small shells can also in certain situations.

6. After your Kritter has the ball, if the entire field formation has reset, clear the ball. It’s unintuitive, but you are actually in a disadvantaged state because of where your players will stand while waiting for a pass.

7. Air passing -> shot on goal while crossing the middle of the field gives you the best chance for a goal that doesn’t actively force Kritter into diving in a particular spot. So it’s best to run down the side and then cross it. Worst case scenario you get tackled and get an item waiting for the cross.

8. For some reason, goals seem to be more likely when there are no opponents between the person receiving the pass and the goal, for either side.

9. At the start of your possession at midfield, try an air pass followed by an immediate shot. You score around 5% of the time and it relieves pressure.

I was winning about 60% of my games, which is still terrible. Legend was definitely designed around a multiplayer experience.
