I was using the racing style, which is faster. And with this technique, I managed to set a pretty solid time in Seattle. It felt great when I finally got the hang of the track and nailed those corners perfectly. 😄
But since I am such a nice person and a bottomless well of pointle-- I mean helpful tips, I will do all I can to make this experience a tiny, teensy-itsy little bit easier. Maybe.
> For a very good reason, only D-pad steering seems to work. This is the optimal way to experience all racing games, and I thank GT2000 for opening my eyes.
> To accelerate, hold Cross, to brake, hold Square. To reverse, hold Triangle. To shift gear up, press R2. To shift down, press L2. To look backwards, press L1. To change cameras, press R1. To pause the game, press Start. To steer left, press D-pad Left. To steer right, press D-pad Right. I have no idea what Select does. The EVO says I shouldn't press it. I will trust the EVO.
> Walls are very nice and cute. Give them lots of hugs and kisses and they will help you win the race. If you want to invite them to a date, be prepared for disappointment - they love everyone equally and will not chose favorites. Don't worry, you can still be friends.
> Only the Yellow EVO can get achievements. Is this true? Yes. Have I tested it? No. Trust the Yellow EVO blindly. Every other is a liar, especially the Red EVO. Do not trust the Red EVO.
> The "Congratulations! x3" achievement can only be obtained if the third win is obtained while your Real PlayStation 2 TM system is set to 200% game speed. It is not mentioned in the achievement description because the Red EVO edited it and blocked all others from editing it back.
> Every time you win at 2x speed, the Yellow EVO grows stronger, but if its at any slower game speed, the Red EVO grows stronger instead. Help our lord and savior, the Yellow EVO defeat the fallen angel.
