For the other AOTW folks, stolen from the comments of the achievement - Arcade mode is the second option in the main menu. Then 1. choose the girl riding big dog 2. forward + circle to poke halfway across the screen with your big stick 3. repeat until you win every round

Didn’t notice a timer in the character select and ended up with Catherine. Pretty frustrating game as someone who doesn’t play fighting games but nothing a little move spamming can’t fix.

Thanks for the tip GoldStein, using her made the game extremely easy for the most part. I have no idea how the devs thought that basic attack was fine with that range.

I don't believe so. There is a practice mode and you can look up your character's commands at any time from the pause menu. You can try tontogoldstein's tip, which is probably the best tactic as the CPU will try to destroy you and it doesn't help that some characters can deal out a lot of damage easily like Fiona.

Trying to learn the controls here. Anyone know which buttons are which when looking at the strategywiki link? Like what PlayStation buttons are A, B, C, and D by default?

Mastered. Tip: for the I Can't Play As You, But I Can Steal You, there isn't a single moveset online that teaches how to do this. You have to rely on the in-game movelist, accessible through the pause button. You have to use Dorothy (or at least her arcana) and do the Arcana Super which, while tricky, is certainly possible to do, and most importantly, she must not guard the attack, you have to hit her dead on.

Hate Maori. It's like you fight 4 characters alone at the same time.

^ I chose Maori specifically so that I didn't have to fight her. I also chose the light arcana -- the yellow one at the very top.

There's a move that if you press R1 and a direction at the same time, it charges up a powerful attack (sort of like a smash attack in Smash Bros). It always throws your opponent against the wall and does a ton of damage if you manage to charge it fully. You can literally spam this one attack the entire match and have a very high chance of winning. This goes for anyone who's just here for AotW and wants to beat it with the least amount of effort necessary.
