I've pushed a fix for the gear unlock achievements, as I noticed there was an issue there. If you are affected (when in the menus, you can look at the rich presence to see how many gears you have unlocked), please send me a message with proof and I will sort it out for you.

Everything else seems to be good at this stage.

Thank you SO much for this set, Teddy. This game's got a real special spot in my life and getting to clear it out again with this set brought back so many fond memories of chasing leaderboards on the Wii version back in the day.

It was really fun to master this set. Everything was fun except the grind to get all gears but, not much you can do about that since it is a part of getting 100%. It would be awesome to see a subset with more custom challenges for each extreme gear. For example, using the rainbow to take all 3 different shortcut types and win in a single race.

Anyone got some tips on how to do fast laps? I keep getting juuust above 50 seconds on Megalo Station. I imagine which character to use differs per level depending on the best shortcuts, but what about Gear recommendations?

The Angel/Devil gear should be enough to clear any time trial with whatever character you'd want to use for them. That thing just starts off with really good stats and has a gear change that doesn't do anything that even effects time trial mode, so you can safely ignore rings and focus on a fast route.

I thought the chaos emerald was just gonna be an easy reward for the missions. how in the world do you sustain that thing? since going fast over 50 drains faster than you can grind rings, and gravity basically 0-100 your rings in a couple seconds. (and prolly personal issue, cant see past the dashing effect on the character model)

Best to use a track where you can complete a lap without needing drifting like Aquatic Capital. Skip straight for the magnet shield to pull in as many rings as possible and only get a single max ring upgrade afterwards. At no point should you be using gravity for anything, it's not worth the ring cost.

It might take a few tries (and a few times quitting to the menu and reshuffling your opponents gear choices if one or two of them are outright blitzing the field) but if you can get a clean first lap you should be able to safely outrun the pack like this for the rest of the race.

@finsom I personally used MeteorTech Premises, as I found that was the most consistent for me. But I completely agree with @WeerDough, I tried it on there and that’s definitely the best track to use. Keep at it, and you’ll get it!

Mastered this, it was pretty fun, some of these achievements were pretty fun and challenging like the gp tank and hyperdrive one but besides grinding for like 8 - 10 hours for rings to get the gears i had a good time 👍
