Mastery #269: Kinda strange to master the sequel before the first game, but I guess that's bound to happen sometimes. Definitely was a lot shorter than I was expecting, even with using fast forward. Thanks for the set!

I can't find the rom for this, nor can I find a rom that can be patched if I patch it myself, even a couple that had the correct checksum, so I pretty much give up, I've tried goodnes, nongoodnes, multiple websites, etc

That's where you problem is. The base is nointro, which is clearly stated in linked hashes. It's also the same USA version linked to the Final Fantasy I set, so you should be able to load it and show achievements for that set before patching.

Thank you for the reply. I do appreciate you trying to help me. I have the Final Fantasy NES rom that is recognized for achievements. however if I take that rom and apply the hack, *if* it'll let me apply it, because at least one site won't, whether or not I choose remove header, it still says this game has no achievements.

What do you mean combined patch? when I download the patch, there's 2 versions, Easy Mode Patch and EM Bosses Buffed Patch, I've been using just the Easy Mode Patch

That's the issue then. Originally this required two patches, but recently a combined patch was made and posted in the forum to make things easier. In the forum there's a link to download the patches. You'll want to use either Dragoon X Omega II - Easy Mode (Final 2) (Silver X,Thaddeus) (Addendum) (obscurumlux01).ips or Final Fantasy (USA) +Dragoon X Omega II Final 2 + Dragoon X Omega II - Easy Mode 1.0.xdelta. Both of those combine the Dragoon X Omega II patch with the easy mode patch so there's just one step needed for patching rather than patch once to get vanilla Dragoon X Omega II and then patch a second time for easy mode.

Hello! Author of this 'Addendum' EZ-mod for DXOII. Effectively just built-in cheats plus some game mechanic tweaks (leveling up, spell growth, etc) to be far less punishing/grindy on the player. Also note, the 'Bosses Buffed' thing is terrible and I would recommend avoiding it entirely. It is buggy and bad. Really bad. I may decide to completely redo it and properly playtest a 'v2.0' of some kind for Bosses Buffed, but that might be sometime in 2024 if I feel like it. I'll also probably include some IPS and BPS patch files since xdelta isn't used as much as I thought it would.

If you get the archive and are patching yourself, just ignore the 'bosses buffed' .xdelta patch
This is from back in the day before I discovered BPS patches so hopefully it isn't too difficult to apply.
Quick search finds two web-based patchers that handle Xdelta and so much more!
