Use Silver Surfer (USA). All known cheats are blocked and shouldn't work, except Magik Domain 1's password for the ones that say they allow it and the 'Master of the Domain' achievement.

I believe you hadn't had the latest achievement code when you played it, but there was an error with the new one anyway. Definitely works now, simple mistake by me.

"Master of the Domain" does NOT work with the stage select code. I am about to try it via a normal playthrough. Going to sac a life before Domain and go with no double shot

Should work with password now, should've tested it better before I put it up but I'm confident it is okay now. Old code should've worked for passwordless, though.

It just worked in a normal playthrough. Whether or not it works with the password I don't know, but I can confirm the "no doubleshot" does work as long as you lose it before going into the world

The white score is so deceptive in this game, the game is actually very challenging. This was chosen as the hardest game in the NES by some youtube channel with many subscribers a while back, another one put him #2 behind Battletoads and then there's the AVGN video where he claims it's one of the hardest games he ever played. As a result, I'm guessing the only people that dared to touch this game are the ultra hardcore gamers looking for the absolute ultimate challenge. But is not THAT hard. After watching those videos, I decided to download all those games to see if I could beat them and this one along with Contra were the only ones I could finish lol. Ninja Gaiden, Battletoads, Ghosts and Goblins and the rest were all way harder than this one. And in fact, I think I beat this one because I really enjoyed it. They claim is hard because it's bad but I actually liked playing it a lot. The set is great, nothing too tricky, otherwise it would be very hard. It's the game on it's own that is the real challenge and I feel proud of mastering it.

They give the player a password after beating the game.

It's for harder difficulty...
