Use the strongest attack and make sure your skill meter is full (you're in a Perfect mode).

Amazing set! It well builded and also the achievements have a nice consistece. The only one i think was a little, big little bother, was the no damage in the Moria's Troll, because sometimes the other members of the fellowship ended up luring enemies or locking you against the troll, and was was kinda tedious keep waiting until the troll spawns again, but i have no complains, this is a fabulous set to a good and challenging game. It worth any moment! Best Regards to kmpers and keep up with the wonderful work! Take my 5*

Mastered! Great game. I'm surprised more people haven't gone for the mastery on this game. Its a very well remembered title. Forgotten gem maybe?

PCSX2 had some weird behavior with the troll achievement at the end of the Fangorn Forest achievement (The on screen prompt seems to indicate achievement failed when it did not). Achievement dev looked into it and let me know that it would still unlock despite appearances.

I am now sick of this game, and I never want to see the inside of Orthanc or those damn trolls again.

Yes, even entering a code incorrectly will pause all achievements. Rich Presence in stages will also be updated to indicate that the cheats are active.

This game is hard or am I really bad at it? I remember playing the third one on Xbox and quite enjoying it, but this one is really bland compared to the third, and pretty boring also...

Mastered. Loved this game as a kid. The movement is so bad in this game especially as Gimli so be ready to do circles for no reason

For all players who wish to unlock all achievements where u need to take no damage from enemies, if u use PCSX2 then I suggest that u save the game either before u face an enemy boss or as soon as u kill an enemy without taking damage. Then u don't need to repeat the whole mission every time u take damage, u can just reload from just before u take damage.

I'd like to point out that boss fights occur right after a checkpoint, with the Cave Troll in Balin's Tomb being the only exception. If you either take damage or forget to increase the difficulty in time, you can simply die to restart the challenge.

I'm going to say it, this game is just frustrating to play. The controls don't feel precise at all, meaning if you parry there's about a 0-1 second delay after the parry where your next input isn't registered. So if you parry and then try and attack too soon it won't register. On top of that you can't parry and then start running until that delay is over. You can also be in the middle of an attack and just get knocked out of the attack because the enemy will hit you during the animation, like seriously? What am I supposed to do? How can I time the attacks when there's 4-8 enemies attacking me at the same time?

The last level is a real pain in the butt because you have Uruk Hai that will jump on you when you're busy attacking another enemy, and since the controls are so imprecise you'll just get knocked over because the attacks have too much of a delay in them, so when you go to press the parry button after attacking it won't register. Also when you parry it seems like for the delay after the parry you're still invulnerable somehow. These issues make it very hard to play the game with finesse, instead it seems like you just need to button mash your way through the game which to be fair was a huge part of early 2000s gaming.

The friendlies in this game are not helpful at all, in fact they're more of a hindrance because they constantly get in your way when you're trying to run somewhere. I cannot wait until I'm done with this game because it's absolute torture trying to enjoy it.

The only good things about the game are how it closely matches with the movies and the in-game bonuses like actor interviews and artwork. The gameplay is horrendously frustrating. There is a lot of luck involved with how enemies spawn, whether or not your friendlies are stuck etc. This game is harder than Dark Souls because there is a ridiculous amount of RNG involved.
