Is that a way to emulate the Chao Adventure minigame to speed up chao raising or the only way to raise is to feed them animals?

Another question: How must I do the achievement like "Guide a fully grown Power/Fly + Power chao to reincarnation." I must raise a Power/Fly chao until it reincarnates and then make it evolve through power aligment until it reincarnates again?

You can speed up stat collecting through the use of "VeMUlator" which is a core in retroarch, put your chao in the specific VMU you want to emulate and then start from "load content" in retroarch, then navigate to your chosen VMU which should be in "Local Disc/RetroArch-Win64/system/dc" this only raises stats and doesn't affect chao characteristics though.

on your second point the specific achievement you cited would be earned by reincarnating a Power chao that has been fed Fly and Power animals until it hits the physical limits, an east way to look at it is that the first word is the type of chao and the word(s) after the / are what animals need to be fed to it.

Okay, so, this VeMUlator is not available on RALibRetro, right?

I tried to load my VMU file (A1.bin, for example) (I am playing on RALibRetro) into VeMUlator in RetroArch but nothing happened (just some randow black dots on a white screen). When I try to load the game (Sonic Adventure) using RetroArch, the emulator automatically crashes :(

Am I doing something wrong?

I got it! Just had to rename the file to the correct one to RetroArch recognize.

The RALibRetro vmu file name is the game name + .A1.bin, B1.bin, etc

The RetroArch vmu file name is vmu_save_A1, vmu_save_B1, etc

I was raising five chaos at the same time, and after the first one reincarnated, the other took forever to die.
Don’t know if my garden was buggy or if it is intended, but it seems only one chao can die per session in the garden. So, if you want multiple chaos to reincarnate, you may have to exit the garden after each reincarnation. Personnally, I save and reset the game to be sure.

Excuse me, I don't want to take up anyone's time, but does anyone know how I can play Chao Adventure from a Sa1 save, or do I really need the game? If so, how can I use both?

SR, You take a chao into the VMU thing in a chao garden. Then you use VMU Explorer to extract that game (file) in a VMU Emulator such as mentioned earlier in the thread.

Then when finished, use VMU Explorer again to import your updated Chao file you were playing, which is technically a memory card save file. When you go back to the Chao Garden, you use the memory card thing to bring your chao back, and it should be updated.

I just want to play Chao Adventure from my PHONE, but the emulator I tried to use just didn't save the file. I still have my old dreamcast files, but not sure I can use the browser to download my saves from here: The browser is pretty outdated lol.

Mastered! This was a very interesting set. I've never seen all the variants of Chao so it was fun to experience that! Some cheevos were more challenging than they needed to be purely due to a lot of information online being for GameCube or later versions of Chao. Will post my advice in the forum for future gamers ^^

To anyone that's completed this set, do you have to use a brand new chao each time to trigger the achievement? My reincarnated chaos are not triggering the achievements.

Confused on how you play this. Aren't stats displayed on the vmu, which don't show in the emulator?

For anyone having trouble with other VMU emulation methods, check out a homebrew called Dream Explorer. It’s made more for the Dreamcast emulating VMU games rather than a stand alone emulator. Once inside it, select your VMU, go to the bottom of the next menu, and you’re all set. When you want to save, just hit Y and then Start at the prompt to save. Speed up options are slower with it running through Flycast, but it hasn’t failed me yet!

I realized an extra chao reincarnation time saver. If you collect Lifenuts in the VMU and bring them over, mating your chao with each other significantly decreases their lifespan, often instantly cocooning after the event. Just note that there's no actual way to get rid of chao in this other than death, so there's a limit to this method. (Unless you start killing baby chao to make more room, I suppose?)

I'm going into this set a bit blind, but having fun so far. I'm just a little confused on how the active achievement indicators work.

I've gotten 2 Chao now to finish their lifecycle and reincarnate successfully, but the current one I'm on had the achievement icon appear for about 30 minutes and then disappear. I gave him more of the required animals thinking it may be a stat issue, but that isn't bringing it back which leads me to believe it's something related to happiness. Is there a way to keep this up for the entire duration of their lifecycle, or am I just doing something wrong this time around?

So I'm currently working on a Run/Fly Chao, and after reading his stats it seems that fly is still going up, but somehow not reaching the peak required for the reincarnation achievement. I've been keeping my eye on it and no matter how many Swallows I give him, the fly stat just won't reach it's peak. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

To expand further, this is with a reincarnated Chao. The other two successful ones I had were with vanilla Chao.

I think I'm having an issue with the indicators as well. I'd assume anything like Normal/Normal or Run/Normal would show right after their evolution, or at least right after they get to enough happiness & have evolved, but the indicators aren't showing at all. Nor is an indicator showing for my Normal/Swim, even though he's definitely far enough for it to be Swim, and I've done nothing to upset him.

Does it maybe not show up until when they're closer to reincarnation? Or is it just kinda bugged?
