For anybody trying to wrestle witht the auto controls you can change them to technical mode in options which uses the analogue sticks for aiming

Any tips for 24 and 25 on inferno?

My strat for 24 was start with the best lysander and the best shotgun ( i tried with double lys before having the shotgun but it wasnt enough, as the last shotgun its 15 1shot kill on the ufos), take down 2 ufos with the sniper, and then 5 or 6 with the shotgun when are on you. Before the ants arrive, get on the moto and go to the other side of the map ( think of it as a square), get down and kill as many ufos with the rest of both weapons. Before the ants arrive, go to another edge, reload and finish the ufos. Its important to not miss more than 2 or 3 shoots with the initial amunition, because the more ufos the more dangerous is the time when you reload. Once the ufos are done you keep going to the edges and kill the big ant, red ants, tripods and then the black ants without letting them get too close. If you loose the moto its game over. Before you kill the last ant be ready with your weapons, refill life, and go to the starting zone. Take the 2 elites as they come and be ready with the moto just in case the ants get too close. Once the elites are dead its over, especially if you still have the moto.

For 25, 2 lysanders. On the plaza where you start, there is a house with a nice porch on the left. Go there and shoot 2 or 3 times on the mothership. You can take down the ring first if you want, i didnt do it. Go to the porch and start killing the ufos as they come into your vision field. Once they are all dead refill life and keep doing the same. The next group of ufos are smaller, so if you can do the first its over.

@Erodion, how much health do you recommend to have for these missions? I have over 4900 and i'm just getting rinsed by the ufos.

I currently have 5400 hp ( had to farm a bit for weapons after clearing all inferno). I tried again the 24, and ended all the ufos after 3 stops, with 2 lysF shoots remaining, 1300hp, and 50hp on the moto. The shotgun is the sg99, not the mx. I would record a video, but i have to play this mision on software mode, otherwise it crashes, and it goes with very irregular fps. Not that with other modes works much better...

Mastered! Inferno 24 really was a pain, at 5600hp i was finally able to pull it off.

if you're really struggling with inferno 24 and 25, you can always grind up over 10k HP by doing mission 11 on easy. it's not glamorous but it only takes a few hours. and cannot stress enough, you need to use snipers (Lysanders, like Erodion said) and not long-range explosive weapons on inferno 25. I had better luck using a rocket launcher on inferno 24 to pop as many ufos as i could at the very start of the mission, but it took a lot of luck to be able to take out like 3/4 of them before they started blasting me. And don't forget to hop in the speeder bike and scoot to the other corner of the map if you need to get a fresh bead on the swarm.

inferno is quite the difficulty spike. dunno if ive just gotten unlucky w the necessary weapons not being dropped or what but im struggling on some of the later levels. whats your guys farming strat for weapons?
