Opossums really do play possum IRL. Found one on the fence line once, thought to myself, “Great. Now I have to rid of that thing before it stinks up the place.” Reached down to grab it and throw it in the dumpster…”Wait a minute. That’s an opossum. And I don’t see any wounds or blood.” A couple prods of a stick later and it ran off. So, save your fingers, check them possums first. Or, you know, shoot them all with a shotgun to get a badge on RA. Whichever. <3
