You don't need to patch a ROM, shamanflebus; these are just extra-challenging achievements that are not part of the core set :)

*Note: for the leaderboards, make sure the game has music when you play since sometimes music stops playing if you sit through the demo. They won't start up if the music is not playing when Simon is controllable.

Mastered! Some of these points really need to be rebalanced but otherwise an excellent bonus set.

I forgot how I did it. I might have taken damage from an enemy and gotten a subweapon dropped on me. IIRC bats sometimes do that?
