Had a nice run going with 20+ lives, then the game decided to crash on me after exiting from a bonus stage in Lava Reef Zone Act 2. Boooo

Thank you for this set! I never played S&K much alone because it didn't have saves and felt a lot harder than the other Sonic games. But it was really just my fear of Death Egg Zone! haha

I'll probably have to look up some maps before I master this game to be able to get all the emeralds. I get like 3 emeralds in Mushroom Hill Zone, then I find maybe 2 more rings in the entire rest of the game, lol

megamanxlegends, it doesn't, level select is banned. Perhaps you're looking at the damageless achievement, rather than the one that's one of the Win Conditions?

That what I meant. Why does the damageless achievement let you use level select, but I can't use it for the Doomsday Prepper achievement.

great game but it's not better than sonic 3 because it doesn't save your progress but if you wan't the ''full experience'' then just play sonic 3 & knuckles through the lock-on system

Mastery #15, and my 10th Sonic Mastery! I've ALWAYS been a Sonic guy, and my brother used to play Knuckles, so I never bothered much, but man was I missing out! The boss fight against Mecha Sonic(?) (Neo-Metal Sonic?) has to be one of the most fun bosses in all of classic Sonic! Pretty easy mastery if you know where all the warp rings are in mushroom hill, everything else with the exception of Flawless Metal Sonic, was pretty easy to accomplish. Loved this set

Half of my favorite Sonic game and a good set. Mostly straightforward with a few interesting ones that still maintain the fun of the game.
There are too many games (and some sonic games) on this site that throw some odly specific next to impossible task that take way too many tries and kill the fun of the game. So thank you for not including something like that in this set.

I never knew you could get all 7 emerals on the first 2 acts, this would have driven me crazy as a kid if I knew about it!

Finally went back to this one and got my mastery number 24! Decent set, honestly. Only real nail biting one was the "Capping things off" acheivement. Be careful in that final blue sphere section!

first real game i attempted for chevos, not a very hard list at all, emeralds are easier to get as knuckles as he has 2 extra big rings vs sonic, the damageless boss battles are quite fun and simple enough, starter level for anyone to get into.. 1st mastery

Of all the classic Sonic sets. This one is easily the best. All the essentials with some small extra challenges (the no-damage ones in this case). All the other classic Sonic games are ruined by try-hard speedrunner BS. Like, that's exactly what seperate sets are for. Very grateful that this one hasn't been contaminated as well. More games should follow this example.
