I just tried both the US and EUR ROMs (the original releases, not the "Rev A" versions) and they were both detected fine, so try those. I don't think the "Rev A" versions are even included in No-Intro sets anymore for whatever reasons.

I download the whole set of No-Intro. None of the flashback versions work for me. I tried the Europe Rev A, the USA version, the europe version, the japan version and the usa alt 1. None worked.

I did some searching and found that only older No-Intro sets have the "Rev" and "Alt" versions. They're not included in the current Genesis No-Intro set, probably because they weren't good dumps. So just use a more current set (2019 onward should be good).

Yup! Thanks!, It worked. So the thing is to have a No-Intro Set recent. I downloaded the 2021 version and it worked for me.

I’m pretty sure they don’t do that on purpose just to annoy us. It has to do with the memory management I guess.

Ya I am sure, I was just a little annoyed. Playing through it now and I appreciated the achievements. I have never beat this game never made it past the Death Tower or whatever and I still own it CIB from as a kid. Thanks guys. Sorry for my outburst.

Achievements do not work on retropie anymore? i tried genes gx and picodrive. usa and eu rev A rom. even tried the rom i KNOW worked last year. which was an E ! rom. any help?

Pro tip: To get rid of the choppiness/framerate issues common with this version, go into core options and overclock the CPU to 125% or 150%.

punny mastered,i strongly recommend to see a longplay of this game due difficult & labyrinthine game,and calcúlate the action chevos like "i didn't need all that time" or "close call" chevos seriously if dont look of those chevos doesnt trigger or at least save & password can use if doesn't say that line "play this game without password or dont use save and load game" xd
note: the longplay goes legit 2 hours if you put in 2x of speed,done can play without revision awcs out :D

Only started playing the game last night while signed in to RetroAchievements in Softcore mode for training, but after years of practice, I could get most of the achievements this time round. It is still a wicked, as in 'cool', platformer on the Genesis (used a bit of '90s slang).

Because there was currently no way for anyone to unlock the achievements without using passwords, checkpoints or continues, loading Flashback's built-in save files into memory via passwords would still unlock some awards as long as the instructions in the overlay were followed.

On the subject of achievements, I think there could be some novelty ones designed just for fun that might be missing in the current set, such as purchasing a passport photo, which is a red herring, for just two credits on Level Ⅱ after completing the first side mission there (I could suggest making an achievement like that, but could be rendered missable), or completing the first level with no more extra shields remaining on either Normal or Expert.

The documentation page on RA explained that it is illegal to host or distribute copyrighted ROMs on the website, perhaps under the copyright laws of the United States and/or other countries. Of course, not all copies work with this set (this is due to compatibility issues).
