First in Japan was release Pokemon Red/Green japanese, later Blue as a third game, later yellow. International Red/Blue are based in japanese Blue, not in content, but in sprites and code (so they share bugs and glitches).And thanks for the comment IronInvoker47, the plan of the original dev was only 1 set for a 3 hours run, but I decide to expand it more, the mayority of runs are under 2 hours, but I fell this times are good for amateur runners.

So, we use the speedrun site glitchless times but with no way to use Nidoran and Mt. Moon manips. Feels kinda lame.

I don't know what you mean, the strats in international Red/Blue works here, they are the same in code, or at least they should. Any trick or glitch is allowed, the times are only to be more fair with no proffesional speedrunes.

Nevermind, I was kind of asleep and saw different numbers LOL. But anyway international R/B use the RNG manipulation reset, shouldn't the one session avoid resetting?

The set works as long you start with a fresh save, deleting the existing save file before runing the game, if you start a new game with a previous save, the achievements shouldn't trigger

Well, that was a fun couple hours. If anyone's wondering how to do the set without the Nido manips, Nidoking isn't the only Pokemon that people speedrun with. I used to speedrun Gen 1 and there's definitely plenty of ways to get it done.

Look into the Alt Pokemon runs. There's plenty of them. My run of choice was Charizard Only and manips/glitches were not necessary at all. I know because I routed and wrote the beginners guide for it.

There's many ways to go about doing the set if you know a little bit about how the game works. Nidoking isn't the only behemoth out there, he's just the fastest. Do you really need a 1h45m route to complete a 3.5 hour achievement set, though?

This speedrun subset isn't for fully optimized runs, so there are multiple ways to approach the challenge, Nido isn't necessary, but anything else than doesn't require resetting the game is fine, specially because the times are based in any% glitchless runs, any glitch is allowed but they are also not necessary
