Before playing this keep in mind that a lot of story related achievements are not unlocking so far, keep back up saves for when they'll be fixed

I feel like the rare drops odds are even worse than usual in this version. Yesterday i used my 99 alerts 3 times against the pink puffs, took more than 10 hours and I never got the pink tail. That's really disheartening. That's 1500 kills and no rare drop. I absolutely loathe anything that is luck based

I love Final Fantasy IV but I really, really wish that the rare drops didn't exist, or at least that there weren't achievements for them in every single FFIV set on this site.

If only those summons had any significance. But nope, gotta farm some battles against a particular enemy for tens of hours to get a summon that does 1 point of damage

The rare drops are just about try and error and luck, way too much luck. There's almost anything about true effort in these achievements.

Come back after you have all of the ultimate weapons and turn the battle speed down to 6, and then just go all out; Berserk can make your physical fighters stronger (50% more damage), and is probably better than having Rosa cast Holy. It also often helps get you more turns due to how FFIV's battle system works (you tend to lose a lot of actions to the enemy due to how long it takes to select options), though the effect is less notable with a lower battle speed. Note that the only armor that prevents Berserk is the Crystal body armor, so don't wear that.

Also, have Rydia use Flare, as it has no casting delay and it might just be stronger than Leviathan anyway.

You can also go buy a bunch of Fuma Shurikens for Edge to throw from Kokkol's forge, assuming you got the Excalibur from him.

Oh, and cast Slow on Bahamut, that should help too.

Tnx a lot for the tips ausher. I already have all legendary, and from what i understand it all most be done in 1 turn, and throwing stuff with edge is allowed

Honestly high level characters don't drop from the mega flare so that helps.
