Your first run should be fine, the cheevo says doing it on Day 12 or sooner; provided you didn't grab the 29th part on day 12 itself, I think you could still get Hocatate Speed Demon (assuming you didn't start a new save in the mean time)...

Also if you think the challenge mode scores are bad now they used to be even worse LMAO

An minor but still important note, the leaderboards currently submit early. I just got a score of 444 on Forest of Hope, but it submit as 434 because I'd just delivered my last 10 pellet to the Onion as the timer was hitting 0.

I don't played Pikmin 1 a long time and therefore the achievements are quiet hard for me but overall very funny and doable.

But the Challenge Mode achievements are coming strait out of hell to destroy humanity, i think i hit a wall that i must overcome to get better but it will be a fun journey.

I'm looking forward to do the Pikmin 2 achievements it will for shure be funny and hard.

I'm not done with the achievements but i will give 8/10 for the difficulty (8/10 because of the Challenge achievements, without them i would give 6/10 difficulty) and 7/10 for the fun Part (7/10 because of the Challenge achievements, it get's very tedious to grind them and without the Challenge achievements it would be a 8/10 ).

Ps: i hate the final Boss of Pikmin 1, i hate the Boss with every vein a human can have.

Me too. It’s actually insane to me that the achievement devs here on RA somehow always go for the most crazy stuff to make it harder for everyone. Make it easier, why not?

For the challenge mode achievements, missions 1, 3 and 5 are more about grabbing as many pellets as possible. There are few enemies in these missions, so try to use the Pikmin to open paths as move pellets as efficiently as possible. Mission 2 and 4 are about the combat, so try to get a full group as fast as possible and go on a killing spree without sending the bodies back. Start sending the bodies back once you have killed all the enemies in a section of the map.

Mastered, the set was fun. The distant spring challenge was the only on that had me sweating, the other ones didn't take too many tries.

I thought mastering this game would be easy since Pikmin is my all-time favorite and most replayed game, but these challenge mode achievements were brutal, the distant spring one especially sucked. I’m glad I can finally move on.

Beaten! Since the GC launch event is on, I decided it was time to finally try a Pikmin game. As I was advancing, everything didn't always feel very intuitive, even with the help from Olimar's daily log after an often unfruitful day. I still had to check a lot of wiki articles — but I get that they wanted you to actually feel "stranded". Also I'm not a strategy game guy so...

While did have my fun during the adventure, some of the gameplay elements feel janky as hell. The controls aren't the best and I got over it, but AIs either have the smartest and swiftest reaction time or act completely braindead, which actually doesn't help for boss patterns lol — each individual Pikmin having a small chance of taking initiatives is also a design philosophy I absolutely don't get. I don't know if I'll ever give 2 or any other one a try...

Still, massive kudos to anyone who got the 12-day run 👍

To add to the above, I think the New Play Control version (the Wii port) benefited a lot from the motion controls. It's been too long to be sure if the AI got smarter though. As for Pikmin 2, I personally like it more, but that's due both to the lack of a time limit (even if 30 Days is plenty of time, heck, I'm sitting on a 12-Day file with the Piggy Bank right at the rocket myself), but also because it's more intellectual... and the Challenge Mode is an actual set of tasks instead of a high score thing... though I only played the Wii version so far. 3 kind of added the time limit back in while increasing the IQ again, not sure how I'd enjoy that since I own it but haven't played it. And 4 does both things, yet I also own but haven't played that one.

Idk if I did something wrong, but I'm on day 2, in forest of hope, and dolphin consider that I don't have red pikmin/ship part?
Do I need to download the game again to try to fix the problem?

@Sphealical, it killed me until I ended up doing a blue solo run, I felt one loses too much time micromanaging 3 colors, read the comments of the achievement for some other tips and video guides
