This would be a fun game for achievements. Since you have to beat the game 4 times to get the true "ending", where the enemies get progressively harder and faster, an achievement for doing that is a no-brainer.

Fun game but losing a no continue run on stage 123 due to the random roulette of which set of stairs leads to the end boss is extremely aggravating.

This game was one of those hazy core memories for me, where I could distinctly remember the sounds, music, and cover art from playing it as a kid, but could not remember the name of it until 20+ years later.

Mechanics are interesting. It's short-lived, but sweet. Don't think I ever made it to the final boss when I was younger, but once you understand how things work, it doesn't really get difficult until the Ninja spam in the final levels, in my opinion. The looping thing to reach the "finale" is a bit much, but it doesn't take more than a couple hours to go from Lv. 1 to Lv. 124, and once I realized that "lives" were separate from "continues," I felt a lot more confident and was able to get the "Christine from Arkista" achievement on my first go.

That said, I never encountered the Wealth Amulet in all that time, and the item drops are a bit confusing to begin with, so it seems like total RNG? Either way, I guess I just have to keep playing over and over and hoping I get it? Until then, no Mastery for me. Otherwise, good and enjoyable set/game.

Mastery #460: Played this game a while ago and never fully finished it, but that continueless run didn't take as long as I was expecting. Ended up getting plenty of health drops in the final ninja room to survive through that gauntlet. Thanks for the set!
