who the fuck thought it was a good idea to code this to work with the mouse only!? unplayable cause I can't get to the edge of the screen without moving outside the window with the cursor!

I've been at this game here for years. And have yet to get a single achievement for it. I feel like there's something I'm missing because that's insane. But the mechanics are so simple so that can't be that I'm missing something gameplay wise.

@Hippopotamus Rex Me too, I randomly come back to this and I just can't seem to get any achievements. Do we just suck that bad? I almost got the level 5 with 3 lives thanks to that bonus that lets you skip the stage you're on, but no dice.

Has anyone tried this with a vaus controller. Supposedly QuickNES is the only emu that can handle that peripheral, but I'm quite intrigued buying one just to see if it's easier.

I agree. It is not playable with a mouse or with a pad. How on earth have some people mastered this? Do you have a nes spinner/paddle? I'm a pretty good arkanoid player and have no problems finishing this game in the arcades. Heck even with the mouse on the mame emulator...but on nes I can hardly get 100k or past level 6-7. The controls is just extremely bad.

If you use Mesen in RetroArch the mouse does work. Just make sure to set Player 1 device type to "Standard Controller" and Player 2 to "Arkanoid". Your mouse will now move the Vaus.

to be able to play this you will need to go to RetroArch Quick Menu go to Controls go to Port 2 Device Type put Standard Controller for (USA) Port 5 put None ( Japanese)
