Be warned that this hack seems unstable with Genesis Plus GX core, so I recommend using the PicoDrive core. Level Select is only allowed for stage challenges (break four invincibility monitors in Hydrocity act 2, 200 rings in Flying Battery, etc.)

I've recently been notified that the version on Romhacking.net is outdated. The most uptodate version is 1.7, which I will be working on testing this week. 1.4 will remain linked at this time until everything has been verified.

After doing some testing I've come to the conclusion that the set will be staying with version 1.4, as all the current versions run into some problems with things like Super/Hyper Amy glitching, or physics being changed for some moves that I'm pretty sure would make some achievements impossible to earn in their current state.

@14ausher Because Tails is basically useless as CPU-controlled follow around. Plus, it adds more challenge thanks to Amy controlling like she does in Sonic Advance.

Correct, that's the main reasons why I banned Tails, as he could trivialize some sections but also make other spots annoying, especially in boss fights.

YES! Finally the most underrated hacks are getting acknowledged, Amy is my favorite character in advanced 1 and I hate how they butcheded her in advanced 2(along with the ludicrous unlocking requirement).

Here's hoping that Amy in sonic 1 and 2 get sets!

The hack was updated to version 1.8, but the achivments wont work at this version. Only at 1.4. How to update?

Version 1.4 was the version these achievements were designed for. Reason it has been kept at 1.4 is because later versions altered the controls and when certain moves could be used, causing some challenges to be impossible.

Mastered! Amy needs to be playable in more sonic games i really like her movesets since Sonic Advanced (This set is amazing and very enjoyable too!)

^ I completely agree, after unlocking her in advance 2 through the most tedious nonsense, I was so let down that they completely changed her moveset, it was nothing like advance 1.

I also really enjoyed playing as her in adventure 1 really wish she had more levels.
