Some of those cheevos sound brutal, but Rockman Complete Works 5's hard mode was insane. It completely disabled energy and life drops, and I think tanks and Eddie did not spawn either. You had to finish the game in original mode to unlock it.

so i wasn't actually gonna get achievements for this one at first (i think it's kinda boring) but i'm glad i did, this set like the others, made me rethink and see the game in a different, positive light; they're not mega man 9 or 10 but they're still well designed.

Due to the game, the set is a bit easier than MM4, but I thoroughly enjoyed this. MM5 possibly has the worst set of weapons in the entire series, but I really like this game's soundtrack.

Achievements often give me a new appreciation for old games, especially games I know well.

Not... Really the case for MM5. It was fun, but what I've walked away with is a much deeper understanding of what makes this entry so forgettable. Between terrible weapons, an overpowered buster that doesn't quite feel right, and boring bosses that can easily be cheesed, this game is technically better than the first three, but much less inspired.

The achievements themselves are very well-tuned. There's only one in this set I'd dump and that's the one where you fly Rush through the crystal droppers. A great job overall, and a must play if you love the Mega Man series.

Mastered! A little easier than Mega Man 4, but still definitely a challenge. A few achievements were VERY annoying, but the boss rush was very manageable after learning the Charge Man strats. Harder to do this game deathless; enemies aren't the problem so much as there being a lot of instant kill hazards everywhere. To anyone struggling, Star Crash and Water Wave have good defensive properties, so give those a try in areas that give you trouble.
