Be careful doing "Rodent Philatelist" achievements - picking up two stamps at once could count them as single, and by collecting two many pairs could leave you with not enough stamps to unlock give achievement.

Are "stamps" the Flower Items? And what does "singles and pairs" mean?

Yeah. Stamps are the flower items. Single is when you collect one stamp at the time (you touch only one of them), pair are two stamps touched at the same time (either horizontaly or verticaly). You need to avoid getting to many pairs.

I tried for about twenty minutes on the boat stage while carrying second player...until I realized that was one of the stages that wasn't an achievement. -_-

The Adventures of Chip 'n' Doll is impossible for Zone E because Dale will be stuck on the boat (and using second controller is forbidden for these acheivements).

What to do when achievements just don't work? Almost all of "Without Taking Damage" don't work, and some of "Carry uncontrolled" pop up for no reason.

When you use savestates achievements could be (and mostly are) unstable.

Beat the first stage without dying and getting 55 stamps and none of the achievements triggered. Tried numerous times

Very fun set for a very fun game. It's a shame that the game doesn't give you unlimited continues, so that getting the achievements for the later stages wouldn't involve you going through all the earlier stages again. But that has nothing to do with the quality of the set. However, one improvement to the set that could slightly remedy the above issue, if it would be possible, that is, is that as long as you start from the beginning of the stage after dying (and not from a checkpoint), that it wouldn't nullify the chance of getting the deathless, damageless, and uncontrolled-Dale-damageless achievements, so that you wouldn't have to lose all your lives on purpose if you want to retry.
